Corvette Makes £25,400 at Auction Today 25 Nov 2002 (News)
(New ones are down to £5,300 as Nissan clears out stocks to prepare for the cute 2003 model, launching mid January.) But Group 2 insurance Corsa 1.2 16v models are solid as a rock. Prices All Over The Place At Auction Today 11 Oct 2002 (News)
A 39k mile 2000X Daewoo Musso 2.9TDI saw some very competitive bidding and sold for £8,800 despite the dire state of the UK operation. A 12k mile 2001Y Subaru Forester S (only just booked this month) began at a cautious £10k but, with the book showing £14,750. the auctioneer had no choice but to run it to a £12,700 no sale. Older Jaguars continue to show a startling revival with an 89k mile 95M XJS 4.0 coupe starting at £3,500 but running up to telephone bids to finally sell for £6,550. -
Something for Everyone at Auction Today 10 Jul 2002 (News)
A manual 14,000 mile 2000V Chevy Blazer 4.3LS SUV sold for £9,650 (when do you ever see them at auction). Nissan was shifting 2000X Micra 1.0 S 3-doors with PAS for around £3,500. A 9,000 mile 2001/51 Peugeot 307 HDI 90 Rapier in a nice metallic orange bid to a strong £9,350. And a 47,000 mile 99S Focus 1.8LX in silver with a sunroof rather than aircon and no rust in the back window ‘V’ sold for a sensible £5,200. -
Sharp Falls At Auction Today 2 Nov 2001 (News)
Previously strong Focuses are down to between £6,000 and £7,000 for a year-old X reg 1.6 Zetec with around 15,000 miles. And at a top bid of £14,400 a 36,000 mile 2000V S-Type Jag V-6 auto was the cheapest I have yet seen. Pile on the miles and off come the pounds. A clean Pepper red 98R Mondeo V6 Ghia with 96,000 under its wheels sold for a mere £3,800. -
Big Car Bargains at Blackbushe 13 Jul 2001 (News)
The car hit the wall at a top bid of just £8,200. Jags haven't gone bad. At Top Car on Monday a 79,000 mile 99T S-Type 4.0 V8 sold for top trade book of £17,700. A 23,000 mile 2000W XJ8 3.2 bid to £22,500. And a 29,000 mile 98S XK8 went all the way to £32,000. But serious mileage seems to kill them stone dead. -
Golf and Bora get PD 130 engine 20 Jun 2001 (News)
Specification on all models remains as before. The 130 bhp TDI PD engine is available in the Golf Hatch in three or five-door body styles; in S or SE trim in the Golf Estate; and in SE or Sport trim in the Bora. The 100 bhp TDI PD unit which was introduced into the Passat in January is likely to become available in the Golf, Bora and New Beetle early in 2002. -
Vauxhall Movano gets important safety updates for 2019 21 May 2019 (News)
The 2019 large van goes on sale in the summer, with prices starting in the region of £26,500 before VAT. The Ford Transit rival has been on sale since 2010 and the updated Vauxhall Movano will arrive before the all-new Vivaro is launched in mid-2019. The new Movano gets updated exterior styling that includes a new front bumper, radiator grille and bonnet. -

Renault unveils new Alaskan pick-up 4 Jul 2016 (News)
. The Alaskan will be Renault's first ever one-tonne pick-up and its specification will mirror the latest Nissan Navara, with double cab models using a five-link rear suspension set-up with coil springs instead of the leaf sprung cart suspension that is used by the Mitsubishi L200 and Ford Ranger . As a result the Alaskan should boast SUV rivalling ride quality. Like the Nissan, the Alaskan will be powered by a twin-turbocharged 2.3-litre dCi engine, with 160PS or 190PS. -

Silverstone prepares for classic spectacular 16 Jul 2014 (News)
Car clubs will be playing a major role at the Silverstone Classic, with more than 9000 vehicles expected to take part. Clubs confirmed as attending include the Ford AVO Owners’ Club, Jaguar Drivers’ Club, Triumph Sport Six Club and the Porsche Club GB. Meanwhile, the traditional Silverstone Auctions sale has been expanded to a two-day event this year, with highlights of the auction including a 1940 Alvis 12/70 Competition (with a high-end estimate of £120,000) and a 1950 Healey Silverstone – one of just 105 built and expected to achieve up to £180,000. -

Following the Ecurie Ecosse Collection’s sale excitement, the spotlight turned to Ringo Starr’s Facel Vega , which sold for £337,500 while seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Michael Schumacher’s Benetton-Ford B194 went to a German museum in Boeblingen for £617,500, bringing the auction total to £16,861,630. James Knight, Bonhams’ Group Motoring Director, said: 'We always knew that today’s Sale had the potential to be a roaring success, but nobody quite anticipated the incredible atmosphere in the saleroom that saw so many truly historic cars go for such astounding prices. -
