  ” Some BMWs have been fitted with the same size brake discs on a 2,000cc model as the more powerful 3,500cc engine vehicle, despite the obvious difference in performance and speed capability. Even the best selling Ford Focus uses the same size brake discs on the two-litre engine car as the 1,400cc family run-around. Mark Cornwall claims it is not just a BMW or Ford issue. He believes most car manufacturers are cutting corners on brakes.

  Peugeot 208 named European Car of the Year 2020 2 Mar 2020 (News)
  The 208 finished top of the leader board with 281 points, while the Tesla Model 3 scored 242 and the Porsche Taycan 222. Fourth spot went to the Renault Clio, which also offered electric engines, while the Ford Puma finished fifth and the Toyota Corolla sixth. The European Car of the Year award is run by seven motoring titles with a panel of journalists voting on the award.

    Diesel is available across Asda forecourts for 103.7 pence-per-litre. At 103.7 pence-per-litre it costs £56.96 to fill the tank on a Ford Focus. At 99.7 pence-per-litre the bill is to £52.94, saving just over £4. It's not a huge saving, but it could encourage longer-term price reductions on other forecourts. RAC Fuel Watch spokesman Simon Williams said: “Due to the latest dip in the crude oil price we had predicted that the most price-competitive fuel retailers would soon be selling petrol for £1 so it is great to see that landmark price is now available across the country at the most expensive time of year.” “Even though this promotion only lasts for three days it will help to bring prices down at forecourts nationwide.

  The Talbot Solara was supposed to target the all-important UK company car market. It’s conservative three-box design the perfect weapon to nick sales from Ford and Vauxhall. But it wasn’t to be.   Indiana Jones Renault Type NN Tourer up for auction 28 May 2014 (News)
  The ten minute scene would go on to became one of the highlights of the film, with superb performances from  Harrison Ford and Sean Connery.   RENAULT MEGANE R26.R STAYS HOT 10 Jun 2009 (News)
  At Silverstone, Drivers-Republic used the full 3.2-mile Grand Prix circuit, recording a stunning lap of 1 minute 19.4 seconds, almost three seconds faster than the significantly more powerful Ford Focus RS. Using the West Circuit at Bedford Autodrome, Evo magazine recorded a time of 1m 29 seconds, again faster than the Focus by almost two seconds. At Bruntingthorpe, Performance Car timed the R26.R faster than the Focus, the Subaru Impreza STi Type UK and found it even faster than a 360hp Revo-tuned Seat Leon Cupra.
