    There was no surprise when it came to the top 10 sellers with most popular car in May being the Vauxhall Corsa followed by the Ford Fiesta - the best selling car so far in 2012 - and the Ford Focus . The Fiat 500 was the tenth best seller.

    The North East’s premier motor sport venue just outside Darlington will be hosting a National Championship fixture for the famed British Automobile Racing Club, featuring two hotly contested races each for BMWs, Legends (stock cars), open-topped Clubmans (sportscars) and both classic Formula Ford 1600 and Formula Ford 2000 single-seaters. Both FFord grids will surely bring back some great memories for enthusiasts as they include the type of car raced by many drivers who later went on to star in Formula 1 in the Seventies and Eighties.

    The Avantime in today’s sale was a 25k mile 02 reg 3.0 V6 petrol Privilege but with a manual box and bids for it stopped at £7,450. An exquisite little 9k mile 04 reg Ford Street Ka Luxury Winter Edition (with the very rare removable hard-top) sold for £8,600.     His first race in the German Touring Car Championship was at Hockenheim in 1984. After moving from Ford to Mercedes-Benz, Asch was runner-up the in the DTM championship in 1988 and 1993. Asch also recorded success the German Porsche 944 Turbo Cup, where he won the title three years in a row from 1987 and 1989.

    The fuel is being used to power an on-site learning centre, along with some of the plant’s forklift trucks, plus a fleet of seven converted Ford Transit vans, operated by Swindon Council and Commercial Group. The fuel is also available to the public should owners of hydrogen-powered vehicles need a fill-up. The solar-powered hydrogen production facility has been developed in collaboration with BOC, Fuel Cell Systems, Briggs Equipment and received funding from the UK’s innovation industry.
