  A rare opportunity to acquire a racing MGA with good provenance, it is valued around £22,000. The 1949 Ford Prefect represents the first of the Ford models to be given a name instead of just a series letter. Finished in black with red interior trim with plenty of Bakelite in the cabin trim and fascia, the car has only covered around 100 miles in the past twenty years, having been used as a display vehicle by a Ford dealership.

  The huge fall in fuel prices has resulted in good news for motorists. Indeed, at 105 pence-per-litre, the cost of filling up a Ford Focus EcoBoost is now £57.75, as opposed to £72.05 in July 2014, when petrol prices were at an average of 131 pence-per-litre. Based on the official economy figure for a Ford Focus Ecoboost and an annual mileage of 10,000, the fuel cost reductions will save an owner £192.50 in a year.

  2,000 Mile Crossfire Just £16,200 at Auction Today 23 Sep 2005 (News)
  A 13k mile 2004/54 reg Golf V 2.0GT TDI sold for £13,600, an 89k mile 2003/52 Audi A2 1.4TDI with just two service stamps sold for £5,900, a 13k mile 2002/52 Mazda MX5 1.8 on steel wheels sold for £8,300 and in the Motability section a 29k mile 02 reg Focus 1.6 Zetec auto with Climate sold for £4,500 and a 2k mile 2004/54 C-Max 1.6TDCI Zetec CVT sold for £9,800, but a 13k mile 2004/54 Daewoo Kalos 1.4SX auto (the softest riding small hatchback) stuck at £4,350provisional. Probably best drive-away of the day was a 76k mile 2001/51 Astra 1.7 LS DTI estate, sold for £2,650.

  Rare Aston could make £750,000 at auction 2 Jul 2015 (News)
  .  The sale also includes one of the original ‘hot hatches’ – a 1987 Ford Escort RS Turbo. According to the vendor, apart from the upgraded Scorpion stainless steel exhaust, the car is 100% original, and still has the stereo and cassette holder it was equipped with in the factory. It could fetch between £5000-£7000.

  New car registrations increased in October 4 Nov 2011 (News)
  According to the figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)  the most popular model in October was the Ford Fiesta , which outsold the second place Corsa by more than 1,000 units. The Fiesta is also the most popular car year-to-date, with 84,506 sold since January. Fleets and businesses took 59.2% of new car registrations in October 2011, up 2.9% over 2010.
