  I have the chance to buy an 05/55 9-5 2.2 Tid Vector automatic registered in December 2005 and with 1500 miles on the clock. This is from a friend who after only 5 weeks has decided he made the wrong choice. Now I know that these depreciate very heavily in the early years but I am tempted at that price.

  My wife has a 205 automatic,because the reversing lights were malfunctioning so I decided to clean up the terminals on the inhibiter switch[it has worked before]I have now lost the reversing lights but have also lost the ignition light at switch on and it now comes on when I rev the engine.The volts with the engine running are13.75 and at rest they are 12.25,the headlights are brighter when I rev the engine Iwould be gratefull for any suggestions Burman

  Hi. First time on this board. I'm wanting to buy a Automatic car but dont know which models are any good. I was going for either a Ford Mondeo 1.8 auto or a Ford Escort 1.6 auto but after reading posts and reveiws on this site about the gearboxes i'm not sure.

  A friends wife is learning to drive and is opting for the auto-only license at this stage. They are looking to buy a small automatic and have a budget of about £2K + whatever insurance cost is required. They have decided on a Micra CVT at this stage. Other than a Punto Auto I can't think of that many viable alternatives within their budget.

  Hi there, I'm looking to buy a used car, preferably a reliable brand like a Honda or a Toyota but I can't decide whether I should go automatic or not. I've been driving a manual since passing my driving test a few years ago, but I've been thinking of getting an automatic after test driving a few in the past. I don't drive that much, maybe once a week, it will be mainly my wife who will be driving back and forth to work (about 3-4 miles only) every day.
