  Hello all, I have a Volkswagen tiguan 2.0tdi 4motion on a 2010 plate that has recently been causing me some concern. There is a rattling from the engine bay area that is there on occasions but not others. So if the vehicle hasn't been driven for several days on start up it makes a horrendous noise as if the engine is struggling to run, or atleast thst is how it sounds to me.

  I found this on the channel4.com site: "Like Volkswagen, Renault is predicting a swing in consumer preferences back towards petrol engines when the Euro V legislation comes in. Diesel engines will have to become more expensive, with more sophisticated emissions control devices such as advanced catalysts and particulate filters, and customers may not be prepared to pay a for it, particularly in smaller cars."

Martin Winterkorn, head of the German firm's Audi unit, will take over the post, the company said.   I read in the evening standard that the Fiat Panda had been awared the car of the year award for 2004 (and according to the fiat website), beating off competition such as the new VW Golf.
