Vauxhall Vivaro - Fuel injector? 28 Nov 2023 (Forum)
Hi, I'm getting confused information from the van itself and two garages I've taken it to...the injectors were replaced 18 months ago, a month ago it stuttered when going through 3rd into forth, fourth into fifth, STOP light flashed on then immediately off...I had it looked at, told it's driving fine, but when diagnosed the reading says injector no.1...but the van drives fine again to a degree and STOP light not come on, I feel it will if I get up to 60mph however, but reading injector issues, it's not misfiring, it's not leaking, no noises, starts great everytime...so i dont get it...I have bought a decent reviewed cleaner and additive to mix into the fuel tank...any input off you guys be greatly appreciated -
Is E85 ethanol making a comeback? 10 Oct 2022 (Forum)
E85 though retails at just €0.65 a litre or 57p a litre. However, who has cars that can fill up with this fuel? In France Dacia also had success with dual fuel petrol/LPG cars. Is it likely that in future, Dacia will make cars whose engines will accept E85? -
Mercedies 2.1 CDI - Fuel Injector issue 28 Nov 2019 (Forum)
Attempting to assist a friend replacing the copper seal on fuel injector as it was puffing mist into the engine compartment while running. injector removed and evidence of leak past distorted seal, dressed the seat in the head with correct tool, replaced the injector using new copper washer and stretch bolt, torqued to correct figure and then the correct degree to tighten. on start, found to be the same and when stretch bolt was removed coolant started pouring out, re did the job with thicker washer and same again, transpires the mist being ejected is coolant. does anyone know why engine coolant would be pumping out the bolt hole, cracked head or cylinder head gasket blown? -
Vauxhall Corsa - Fuel leak underneath car 11 May 2019 (Forum)
After looking under the car after driving home i can see a steady dripping coming from the pipe (on a connection) before it reaches the fuel tank. Do anyone have any idea what this could be? Could a clip be loose on the connection? Here is a photo https://m.imgur.com/gallery/ujOr6Rd -
Ford Fiesta 2000 W 1.25 Zetec 16v - Won't start 3 May 2019 (Forum)
The battery is good and is charged regularly. I have noticed that on turning the key to the second position, the fuel pump does not run to pressurise as it usually did and think this is probably significant (fuel pump fuse is OK). The fuel level is low, I put another 1-2 litres in just in case but it made no difference. -

When I started the car up this morning I noticed that the fuel gauge was not working. (stuck at 0 with no movement whatsoever). When I drove the car I then noticed that the speedometer was also not moving. In addition to this, the ABL light is permanently showing amber. -
Vauxhall Corsa C - Fuel tank not venting 27 Jan 2018 (Forum)
It sometimes loses power, more so when cold, uphill, or into strong wind! The other day I had to put some fuel in, and noticed a big rush of air into the tank as I removed the filler cap. Wasnt too concerned about this as we had 2 Fiesta petrol cars which did this. But clearly embossed on the cap (I'm sure its OE), is VENTILATED! -

Ford C-MAX - Recovering costs incurred by faulty fuel filter 18 Aug 2016 (Forum)
I recently suffered a car breakdown which was subsequently identified as being caused by a faulty fuel filter fitted during an annual service a couple of weeks before. As I had no breakdown cover (I know, I know), I had to sign up with the AA on the spot in order to get towed home - not an insignificant cost. -

Ford Focus - Problem with ford focus- fuel leak and other issue 23 May 2013 (Forum)
Hi I have a v reg ford focus. I think it has a fuel leak as the petrol warning light is always on even after I've put petrol in. However lately it has developed another problem whereby it cuts out at low revs, and sometimes the speedometer doesn't work and ill be driving along but it's at zero. when first started in morning it starts up easily but seems to struggle to move away as if the petrol isn't getting through. -
Vauxhall Zafira - Vauxhall Zafira won't start if left for 2 days 23 Apr 2013 (Forum)
Had loads of things changed but none of them have solved the problem. RAC have said that it is the fuel draining from the starter system. One guy told me to get a handpump fitted to the fuel line to get fuel into the starter system when it happens. This sounded a bit odd to me but I'm willing to give it a go. -
Ford Focus Tdci 2010 - 2010 Focus Tdci engine problem ,,,,,,,, 9 Apr 2013 (Forum)
The car has just run out of warranty and had it's 30k service by Ford about 6 weeks ago. It was down to half a tank of fuel so - I've just brimmed it with fuel from another garage to see if it was maybe a dodgy batch of fuel - but didn't make any difference at all. Any ideas guys? Thanks - Rob -

It usually goes off when the car is left and started again, i have had into peugeot and they have checked all the wiringand seems to be fine and they say it could be a new esp unit which is 1000 pound . I read in one of the other messages it could be a faulty fuel filler cap sensor that can cause abs and other warning lights to come on can you please advise as she loves the car but cant afford the 1000 pound fix
