  • Corsa vs Fiesta (Automatic) 15 Dec 2010 (Forum)
Hello, I recently asked for advice on replacing my Seat Leon with a smaller used automatic car. I have now narrowed this down the Corsa SE or Fiesta Zetec, but have upped the spec to be a new car.   Has anyone done a comparison of the two? Any thoughts to help me make a decision?
  • Proton MPI 1996 - automatic gearbox fluid change 23 Mar 2010 (Forum)
hello Does anyone know a rough price for an automatic fluid change on this car? it's an old Mitsibushi design of some sort. Just over 70,000 and never been changed aFaiK.  Seems to shift oK and is smooth. So for cheap motoring it makes sense to try and keep it going that bit longer...

  • toyota mmt - automatic or not? 10 Apr 2006 (Forum)
I've searched around the web and some reviews of the Toyota MMT imply that it just gets rid of the clutch pedal - i.e. you still have to change gear manually. Other reviews imply that it can change gear automatically. Toyota's web site gives no details on how it works. Can someone put me out of my misery?

  • Semi-automatics. Real fuel consumption 9 Apr 2011 (Forum)
We are used to understanding that real world fuel consumption figures can be worse than the official figures for manual cars, so we can factor it in when choosing cars.   But what about semi automatics?   Do we get an extra hit on fuel consumption if we drive in full automatic mode?   If so, someone intending to drive their car as a full automatic would be wrong to compare the official figures from a conventional automatic with those from a semi-automatic, as the semi-automatic would have an unfair advantage if it had been tested when driven manually.
