A friend ,in her eighties, currently drives a Suzuki splash automatic. Due to the width of the car relative to the garage, even with the wing mirrors folded she now has difficulty in driving the car in but mainly out of the garage. She is also having viewing problems reversing the car down the long drive. She has asked if you could recommend a small automatic smaller that the splash with better rear viewing that she could consider as her next car. Maybe a Smart car? she would appreciate your help

Few automatic cars are significantly smaller than the Splash. A Hyundai i10 1.2 auto is slightly smaller and narrower. The old shape KIA Picanto auto was also smaller. There was a Suzuki Alto automatic until 2014. She might consider a Smart ForTwo, but the new one is expensive and the old one had an awful automated manual transmission. There was a tiny Daihatsu Charade with a 4 speed auto from 2003 to 2006 but the newest is already 10 years old.
