    Unlike previous versions, the New Kangoo WAV will be the first vehicle to be converted at the Renault Tech Factory in France for the UK market. Ensuring that customers have easy access to a UK supplier, the new vehicle will be available through five converters: Atlas Vehicle Conversions, Brotherwood Automobility, Holden Mobility, Widnes Car Centre and McElmeel Mobility Services.

    Plans to ban sales of all new petrol and diesel vehicles by 2040 have been set out by the Government. It’s all part of its controversial clean air plan and comes just weeks after France made a similar announcement. The clean air strategy is a complex document and as well as encouraging a move towards alternative fuels like electric or hybrid vehicles, it sets out strategies for local councils to enforce clean air zones on some of the UK’s most polluting roads.

    It became a bit of a running joke that every few months there would be another invitation to drive the 300C, despite the fact there was still no UK launch date and no prices either. Still, we did get to see a lot of the South of France. It finally did come to the UK at the end of 2005 and was certainly a car that garnered plenty of attention. The imposing looks, dominated by that large grille which certain people decided to put a Bentley badge on (avoid those ones...) gave it plenty of road presence.

Estimate: £45,000-£55,000. A 1968 MkII 3.8 Sports Saloon in the sale is a truly unique car because it is equipped with an engine block that never actually made it into production.
  • 20th Anniversary of Mazda's Amazing 1991 Le Mans Victory 20 May 2011 (News)
    In celebration of this anniversary, and at the invitation of the event organisers, the Automobile Club de L'Ouest (ACO), Mazda will demonstrate the winning Mazda 787B on the Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, France on Saturday, June 11, before the 2011 race begins. The 79th 24-Hours of Le Mans is scheduled to start at 15.00 hrs (local time).  Mazda plans to hold the demonstration of the 787B racecar at 12.30 hrs. 
  • 1962 E-Type Roadster ex-Nina Aga Khan Up For Auction Today 22 Nov 2016 (News)
    With two failed marriages behind her, no children, a flagging modelling career and barely any real friends, she retreated to her Caribbean island taking her beloved black panthers and her cream E-Type with her. She could not settle nor shake off her depression and she returned to France where on 3rd July 1965, she committed suicide by taking an overdose of sleeping pills. The cream E-Type Roadster disappeared and it was presumed lost for ever. However, by chance, an Englishman holidaying in Jamaica last year, was told of two old cars in storage on the island.

Plato, always popular with the Croft crowds thanks to his Newcastle roots, is fifth in the table and sixth Andrew Jordan in his Pirtek Racing Vectra – the 22-year-old has won in many different categories at Croft and 12 months ago achieved his first ever victory in the BTCC there.

    The engines will be manufactured at PSA Peugeot Citroën’s Trémery plant in the Lorraine region of eastern France. 159 million was spent to adapt the plant’s existing production line to handle the new engines, while improving workstation ergonomics.

    Here are just some of the entries: The 1960 Facel Vega HK500 in the main picture was one of the most expensive cars of its day and certainly France's finest. 360HP and 576Nm torque gave iut a 0-60 of 8.4 and a top speed of 145mph, despite its considerable weight. This is one of only 105 HK500s built in Right Hand Drive and has a full history (described in the auction catalogue), including the fitting of a new 6.5 litre Chrysler engine in 1993.
