Europ assistance- breakdown cover 13 Jul 2002 (Forum)
Anyone used these? I am an RAC member but don't like the limit of 14 days alternative vehicle cover as that might expire with still a week of hols to go (if started 7 days before departure) so I am looking at Europ Assistance because they include £1,500 worth of hire car (Enough for about 6 weeks of Mondeo in France) -

Honda CR-V - Replacement / courtesy car for warranty repairs 13 Mar 2019 (Forum)
I have known people keeping courtesy cars off dealers while their car gets fixed/investigated under warranty and no insurance issues. Is this practice of a very high excess a standard practice? Or am I covered fully for driving the courtesy car as my car would be in the garage getting repaired and not on the road. -
New Car Warrantee - or should I buy second hand? 24 Jun 2010 (Forum)
I cannot make a decision on this as I do not have enough background in the car game I am thinking of getting a new car - which will have a 3 year warranty for a hassle free life - but I don't know if a manufacturers warranty covers everything that could or would go wrong - the warranty certainly won't cover servicing - or will it? -

Drivers whose car insurance policy does not currently include cover for commuting, and are using their own car to travel to work, will need to contact their insurer to update their cover accordingly. -

Would you buy a 2 year old car that?s covered over 125,000 miles? The car in question is a Honda Civic Type R. Apparently it has a full Honda service history. Only mod seems to be a Mugen induction kit... If I was looking at say a 7 or 8 year old car that had 125,000 miles on it I wouldn? -

MOT advisory that means nothing 7 Nov 2016 (Forum)
Funny one this-When perusing the MOT history site GOV.UK for suitable cars I've spotted for sale on Autotrader or elsewhere-I constantly see the MOT advisory-"Engine covers obscuring some components". What is the tester looking for here? Are the engine covers at fault/illegal ? -
Toyota Avensis - Still Covered by Manufacturers Warranty? 1 Jun 2016 (Forum)
Noticed that the 2nd service interval was missed by 6 months, as the owner decided to wait until it hit 20k instead. From a warranty point of view, will Toyota still cover it, as technically it has missed the 2nd interval?? Car is 4 years old and has been serviced at dealership since. Thanks. -
any advice on car seat covers? 8 Nov 2005 (Forum)
Having recently written off my much loved Xantia TD Estate (raining cats n dogs, wet leaves etc)I've taken the plunge and spent my hard-earned on a used 2.2 dci X-Trail,mainly due to the positive comments from this forum. One of the few drawbacks I've noted are that the interior/seats mark easily.Given I have the obligatory two kids and dog to haul around can anyone recommend any decent fitting car seat covers? I'm after a set that are tailored to fit properly and can accomodate the side air bags..... -
3rd party insurance on other persons car 22 Oct 2004 (Forum)
Daft question coming up: OK, so 3rd party means that you are covered for any expenses incurred on others, but not yourself, right? But the car IS owned by another, so any damage to it is damage to a 3rd partys property. So is that damage covered? -

Car Insurance Law 3 Sep 2015 (Forum)
I had fully comprehensive insurance on my car and although I had an accident and the car was scrapped I continued paying the insurance because I thought that the third party insurance cover (to drive other cars) would still exist. I was recently pulled over by a police office and was told that because the car had been scrapped, technically (although I was paying it) the police didn't exist. -

Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - 2006 - Faulty stereo speaker - warranty covered? 31 Dec 2007 (Forum)
I recently bought a 9 month old Focus (a 56-reg) from a non-Ford dealership and have now discovered that one of the rear speakers is faulty. As there was no warranty booklet provided with the car I am unsure if this sort of thing would be covered by the manufacturer's warranty - can anyone help?
