Should wheels be rotated? 22 Jul 2003 (Forum)
On the other hand, are wheels that are balanced for a specific location on the car thrown into imbalance when moved to another location? Shouldn't tyres wear evenly in any case unless something is seriously out of alignment? Oz (as was) -
o/s/r/ toe in setting for Volvo 340 16 Dec 2001 (Forum)
IS there any way to correct the toe in setting for the o/s/r tyre, it looks as though it is pointing in too far, confirmed by a 4-wheel alignment system. It makes the car pull to the left slightly, as well as wearing out the rear right tyre more quickly than the others Cheers, Andy -
Volvo XC90 - Rear Shocker ! 4 Nov 2011 (Forum)
Given this is an important job, is this a fair price to pay? And, having just had a 4 x wheel alignment last month, due new tyres will this have to be done again at extra cost? Thanks. -
Ford Fiesta (2000 - 2002) - 01 1.3 New tyres 19 Jun 2008 (Forum)
Is £180 for fitting balancing etc including VAT a good price for these? I'm impressed with the reviews of these tyres. Getting a family friend to do the alignment at a later date. Thanks -
Vectra front bumper removal - 2000 model 23 Sep 2003 (Forum)
Anyone know how to remove one, or more to the point where the fixing screws/bolts are? I hit a rabbit a while ago and ever since then the bumper has been slightly out of alignment with the nearside wing and also a bit wobbly. I'm might selling the car shortly and don't really want to go to the expense of a workshop manual for it. TIA. -
steering wheel not dead centre 7 Mar 2003 (Forum)
Iv'e just had the front wheel alignment adjusted on my car and the steering wheel is a little bit off centre, not very much and I could live with it. I understand that this often happens and it's just a bit annoying, but is it ok and not a sign of the tracking or anything not been done correctly by mechanic. -
Camber & castor adjustment in the SE 26 Jun 2002 (Forum)
I need to get a full four wheel alignment, inc the camber and castor etc, done on my old Jetta 16v, as I have fitted some lowered springs. Does anyone here know of anywhere in south east London or Kent that could do this for me? I dont really want to drive all the way to Micheldever tyres. -
chevrolet cruze Hatchback - Car pulling left all the time. 5 Feb 2016 (Forum)
Wrong..... once i had driven on them for a couple of hundred miles the pull slowly returned to the left.... so i'm guessing the pull to the right was due to the uneven wear that the tire had gotten being on the side that pulled over time. So it can't be tire pull, supposedly not alignment or geometry of the car...... that doesnt really leave much to check now ? here is the last alignment readings once done. left front .................. -

Accident Repairs - Advice please 10 May 2007 (Forum)
The damage done was along the lines of: - badly scraped and bent bumper - wing lightly scratched and pushed out of shape, closing the panel gaps with both the bonnet and front door - headlight pushed well out of alignment, upwards and inwards - scuffed alloy Picked the car up from the bodyshop today, and noticed that the alignment of bumper/wing/headlight is very poor - noticable gaps (3-5mm) compared with the other side (which was all renewed after the first accident 8 wks ago!). -
Front tyre wear Mondeo mk2 8 Mar 2007 (Forum)
The car is not driven particularly hard, and most of its mileage is on motorways. I had a four wheel alignment check/adjustment done when the Falkens were fitted and the printout showed everything to be within factory tolerances. That was 20k ago though. The car still steers straight at present, and there are no signs that anything is overly worn or out of alignment. -
Leon TDI - NSF Tyre Wear 2 Jan 2005 (Forum)
Currenly on Dunlop SP Sport 01's, previously on Pirelli P6000, Eagle NCT's, B F Goodrich Touring and Yokohama A301, all of which were correctly balanced and aligned, but wore in the same way. The steering, suspension, alloys have not been modified in any way I have my alignment checked reqularly and has only required adjustment when I last replaced my front tyres. -
BMW 3 Series - BMW 320d front outer edge tyre wear? 30 Oct 2022 (Forum)
The front are also in good condition it's only the outer edge of them that has worn. I've heard that this might be caused by wheel alignment. BMW use KDS but can this be sorted using Hunter? -

Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 95 2.0 Steering pulses from side to side at low sp 18 Sep 2008 (Forum)
At slow speed and more or less stopped steering wheel pulses from side to side. Wheel alignment etc seems OK. Perhaps this is a power steering problem? Any ideas or experience with this problem. Car is a 95 XSI with 170000km. Otherwise runs fine. -
Renault Scenic (2003 - 2009) - 06 2.0T Camber Angle 6 May 2008 (Forum)
My scenic is causing me more problems, YET AGAIN!!! My N/S tyre is scrubbing on the outside edge, i'm guessing that there is a suspension mis-alignment, probably caused by me hitting a badger the other week. I was just wondering, is the camber angle adjustable on the scenic? or will it be new suspension bits?? cheers -
Attempted break-in 30 Oct 2006 (Forum)
Noticed the car was a bit noisy last week , like the door wasn't shut properly. On closer inspection, I found the front passenger door way out of alignment and a number of marks in the paint where someone had obviously tried to lever open the door at the top . Is this a tried and tested way to break in to a vehicle ? - you'd certainly need a lot of force to gain entry - personally I'd break a side window for quick access...
