  So apart from the danger that this lamp could have come off at any time and i dread to think what could have happened to me or my family but i feel sure that the magnets have b*****ed my radio up ! Please can you tell me if i can prove that the lamp caused the radio faults ? and also do i report this garage to trading standards as i am quite concerned at thier incompetence ? Thanks any advice gratefully recieved.

  Dealer's response after having tested the car was to confirm what I was saying is true, tested another car which did exactly the same thing, apparetly tested the Radio and Aerial, which were apparently working perfectly and then said sorry sir there is nothing more I can do. Now this may be the case and frankly I will probably live with it but I do find it a bit strange that Radio interference seem to have made a come back !

  Hello guys, Battery was disconnected for mechanical work on my mk4 fiesta and on reconnecting the radio is asking for key code. I have none of the original manuals with the car so was wondering if anyone could help me with the key code. The serial number is M250173 and the radio unit is an RDS 5000.

  2001 vectra estate factory fitted cd auto changer ccr600. When I change from radio to cd the information console reads "safe" You can change manually on the radio head on on the steering wheel buttons. The result is the same,,,,SAFE I cannot get the cd to operate. any suggestions appreciated. many thanks

  I have a Clarion Cd Multichanger in my Pug. The radio has stopped working and the CD changer wont eject the discs. Is there a manual eject button on the changer to allow me to get the discs out and what could have caused the radio to stop working?

  I've replaced the Sony CD/radio in my car with a JVC model KD-S621; plugs on back are identical but whilst both CD and radio work OK the electric aerial does not. Can anyone shed any light on this please?

  The radio aerial on my car is the very simple telescopic-on-the-wing type. The problem is that at least one section will not pull out of the section beneath it. The aerial is therefore not fully extended...resulting in very poor reception of Radio Five.

  Hi all,   Iv'e just got the car and its been fine i had some issues with the fuse blowing i replaced the fuse that was in it a 3amp soon as i turned the radio up it blew. Replaced it with another 3amp it blew again with the volume up. I then installed a 4amp fuse it blew again so then i installed a 5amp turned the volume up and that blew. No i have a 7.5 amp in it and its been fine..

  Firstly a Happy, healthy and prosperous New Year to all posters. I have a C Class Merc 2005 with an APS 50 radio GPS unit. I need to get at the back to unplug the CD player and plug in the hard wiring for my Ipod. Have tried the FM transmitters but where I live the stations are so close it is impossible to find enough space between stations to keep a clear signal for more than a few miles.

  I have an 04 Focus Ghia, still under warranty. The problem I have is that since new, the cd/radio unit has been nothing but trouble, in and out of the repair shop 5 times. The latest episode was when the unit failed completely and the dealer promised a new replacement. Five weeks later I went to have the new unit fitted only to find out that it was the old one repaired.

  A friend gave me her old car radio (sony XR-6459) when she got a fancy new one with a cd player. I want to put it in my car, but am unsure of the wiring- I've got the speaker wires which are dark green/dark green black, white/white black, pink/pink black and grey/grey black (I may have got them a bit wrong- colour blind and struggling!!)

  My Ford 5000 Radio keeps getting amnesia and loosing its security code. I reinput the correct code and all is fine for a while, maybe an hour or so during a drive, then it requests the code again. Each time I repeat this process the up time gets shorter until it will not accept the code.

  Being a demonstrator, we are not allowed to put anything aftermarket in them - i.e. handsfree kits, aftermarket radios etc.. so it puts me in a dilema A friend of mine has an IPOD with something called an ITRIP - which plugs into the IPOD. This thing then transmits a radio signal which can then be tuned in on your car's radio so you can listen to the music.
