  I have just had to take my car into a Renault dealer as I could not open the bonnet(as suggested by the man at an AA Service Centre). They subsequently charged me £97.10 which involved £6 for oil and £77 for one hour of labour!! Does this sound excessive and is it the going rate for a Renault dealer?

I can get the Renault part number, it is 77 012 5812, but I would like to buy the bearing from a bearing outlet, because we are not near a Renault agent.   I have a T reg Renault Clio which keeps cutting out when I get to traffic lights and roundabout etc. sometime won’t start straight after and have to sit on side of road! I have just paid for new fan belt and cam belt and car still unreliable.
