If you want part-time 4wd consider a 2wd vehicle and fit it with winter tyres. If you really need 4wd, get AWD like a Subaru, or 4wd with diff locking like a Grand Vitara. More info is helpful: What mileage, what roads, what conditions? Also what are you expecting the car to do - eg. passengers and luggage. Mileage between 50,000 to 100,000 (not too worried about mileage as vehicle will only cover 2000 miles a year); A&B roads and occassional Motorway trip, has to carry items to tip and be able to cope with snowy conditions. Reply | Report as offensive | Link
