My list of recent used sales favourites are as follows and in no particular order and in assumption of having been well maintained. Honda Civic petrol Honda Jazz (excluding Mk I CVT & Mk II i-shift) Honda Accord petrol Mazda 2 petrol Mazda 3 petrol Mazda 6 petrol Ford Focus Mk II 1.6/1.8/2.0 petrol Toyota Yaris 1.33 petrol Toyota Auris 1.33/1.6 petrol Toyota Corolla 1.4/1.6 petrol Suzuki Swift petrol I've to date never sold one example of any of the above that has caused any real trouble beyond ordinary wear and tear items for their next owner.
  • Mazda 6 2007 Diesel - DPF regen failure/air mass sensor link? 4 Nov 2016 (Forum)
Had a 'data Logger' fitted for about 120 miles but nothing useful was recorded although the device reports different data on different vehicles. Would a different device more suitable for Mazda's do any different?
  • Mazda MPV 2.0 diesel - White/blue smoke on startup. 22 Feb 2015 (Forum)

  • Mondeo vs Avensis vs. Maxda 6 vs. ? 8 Jul 2007 (Forum)
Two other models I am considering are: - Toyota Avensis 2.2D T4 or TR (latter more expensive!) - Mazda 6 2.0D 143 TS2 Briefly drove an Avensis on local roads and it was okay. But bland inside and out and wife not so keen from the brochure pictures. I have drive a petrol Mazda 6 and liked it and better to look at inside and out IMHO compared to the Avensis.
  • Backseats and Babies 26 Feb 2003 (Forum)
The baby seat will fit into the back of the polo, so both adults can get in the front. There is limited room in the boot for prams etc. The baby seat will fit in the front of the mazda, so one adult (not me!) will have to get in the back. There is more room for prams etc in this car, and this is the one that we go long distances in. The polo is a shopping car and any travel with all 3 of us will only be short.

  • Oil level / pressure, HJ in the DT 15 Apr 2007 (Forum)
Ref the guy with the Mazda who's oil light came on, he checked the level and carried on driving subsequently wrecking the engine, HJ was not sympathetic though perhaps could have even more clearly pointed out that the light is for oil pressure on NOT oil level and if in doubt RTFM !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • write off advice 13 Apr 2007 (Forum)
My Mazda 6 is going to be a write off after an own fault accident. What value should I pursue ? - the trade-in price, or the forecourt price of a replacement ? The tax disc is just a few days old - can I remove it when I go and collect personal possessions from the car ?

  • Mazda 3 - Insurance NCB puzzle. 26 Feb 2020 (Forum)
Is that creating a mis-match that the computer sees as two cars? But the fact that they identify it correctly as our Mazda suggests that not the issue. My wife mentioned it to the agent but again didn't get a clear response. Having already paid we don't want to pull out and possibly complicate our insurance history. Hopefully they will resolve it but meanwhile has any body any idea as to what's going on?

  • Are all salesman idiots 18 Sep 2016 (Forum)
So the list included Volvo V60 - bit too small, Leon ST - same passenger space as hatch, Ceed GDI-T - too slow, Mazda 6 - great kit, great deals but hardly any bigger than the Leon inside but 2ft longer. So added the Mazda CX5 to our list. Had a look, perfect size, great kit, good deals but as soon as you mention the "petrol" word the salesman turns stupid.
