A Blackbushe bidder bought it for £51,000. On the other hand, you don’t need to pay through the nose-cone to get into an S Class. Sure the 27k mile 2001Y S320CDI wasn’t cheap, selling for £34,500 to a gentleman from the Middle East. Nor was a 73k mile 2000X S320L with a walnut worktable in the back at £28,000.
  • Volkswagen looks to shake up electric SUV market with new ID.4 3 Mar 2020 (News)
.  Volkswagen hasn't released any pricing information for the ID.4, but it will command a significant premium over the ID.3's £27,000 starting price. All versions will get LED tail and headlights as standard. A fully digital driver's display will also be fitted, with a customisable instrument binnacle. Like the ID.3, the crossover version will get a 10-inch central mounted infotainment touchscreen while the absence of a transmission tunnel should boost legroom and allow the ID.4 to transport four large adults in comfort.
  • A Grand Monday: Nissan Micra K11 Twister 15 Oct 2018 (News)
Apart from a bit of sill corrosion - they all do that, sir - the K11 is an indestructible little thing - chain driven cam, lively 16v engines and comically fun handling all coming together to make it a fine supermini. But despite being far hardier than many of its rivals, the K11's survival numbers will ultimately be tiny, with takeaway owners and oval racers fighting to get their hands on the best of the survivors. This example , then, deserves to be preserved away from such willful abuse.

Based on the W114 saloon, but with engines from the larger and more powerful S-class, the R107 combined speed, refinement, safety, and style, and was famously over-engineered. Today, it is one of the most desirable classics on the market. The car features a 242bhp 5.0-litre V8 and has a host of options including ‘Tempomat’ cruise control, air conditioning, green-tinted sun-deflecting glass, heated seats and a separate hard top.

  • Britain's last 'BL' dealership to close 6 Feb 2014 (News)
The signage harks back to when Derek J Ketteringham Motors was an Austin Rover dealer and makes a great backdrop for the cars, which include a pair of 1989 Rover 800s, a 1995 Rover 100, Fiat Regata, Vauxhall Cavalier Mk3 2.5 V6, Peugeot 205 CTi, Audi 90 and Vauxhall Carlton Estate. Even the newer, more humdrum MG Rovers can spring the odd surprise – one S-registered 216Si had 16,000 miles on the clock and still smelled new inside. If you’re interested in enquiring about a car, please get in touch first, preferably via the email address, djketteringham@gmail.com – all prices are ‘sympathetically negotiable.’
