7 Year Warranty 30 Sep 2006 (Forum)
Kia are giving their latest car a 7 year engine and gearbox warranty with 5 year for the rest of the vehicle. Seems quite impressive, apparently it will be applied to new Kia's as they are introduced/replaced. ( See car by car breakdown entry, this website. -

Audi 2.5 TDI Multitronic 10 Jan 2006 (Forum)
I'm thinking about buying one of these, and I noticed that the Car-By-Car breakdown mentions a dealer TSB to replace the clutch. What does this mean? Will Audi pay for this? Should I avoid cars that haven't had this done? Thanks -

I am looking for a second car run about and can't decide which one - any views? Civic or Corolla or Almera? Looking at HJ's car by car breakdown the Almera looks hard to beat (reliability and longevity are my key concerns). -

Just caught a glimpse of one of these, which does not feature in the Car-by-Car Breakdown. Does anyone know about this model? It is a very neat little coupé-style car with two doors which are glass to all the way over the roof and may be gull-wing. -

Mazda 3 1.6d - Loose Connection on Injectors 10 Aug 2014 (Forum)
I must admit this sort of thing makes you wander if you have bought the wrong car, In 25 years of car ownership, this is my 6th car, I have never had a breakdown or near breakdown. Should I just write this off as 'one of those things ?...I know some mazda diesels have been troublesome, but I think this 1.6 was meant to be pretty good, and the Auto bild report on them was excellent. -

AutoAid renewal invitation..... 3 Apr 2019 (Forum)
Gone up a fiver from last year. Was £43.31 - now £48.31. Still very reasonable if you take two cars plus you and the Mrs. into account. There's always someone to answer the phone in the office (in Romford) as well as on the breakdown line and the terms and conditions aren't especially onerous and although it's many years since I used them I've no reason to think they wouldn't sort me out if the need arose. -
Ford C-MAX - Recovering costs incurred by faulty fuel filter 18 Aug 2016 (Forum)
I recently suffered a car breakdown which was subsequently identified as being caused by a faulty fuel filter fitted during an annual service a couple of weeks before. As I had no breakdown cover (I know, I know), I had to sign up with the AA on the spot in order to get towed home - not an insignificant cost.
