Kia are giving their latest car a 7 year engine and gearbox warranty with 5 year for the rest of the vehicle. Seems quite impressive, apparently it will be applied to new Kia's as they are introduced/replaced.
(See car by car breakdown entry, this website. HJ.).

Sorry to be a cynic, but who wants to own a kia for 7 years?

Shows confidence in their product which other manufacturers may follow making it better for all.

Someone who wants basic transport, isn't a badge snob, is retired & living on a modest fixed income, and is buying probably their last car - fits me to a T!!

I'm sure the warranty is transferrable once the original owner sells it. We don't all have enough money to buy a brand new car, and we're not all above driving around in a Kia (they're actually not bad at all). I'd certainly prefer to be branded with the "Kia Driver" stereotype than the "BMW driver" stereotype! ;-)

In Flordia and not sure if nationwide in the usa, last year we saw some Kia or Hyunida ads that stated a full TEN year warranty!!!!
