  I see that the specification and prices for the upcoming Civic have now been released on various websites, but I am surprised that there appears to be no mention of an automatic gearbox on the diesel models.   Got a problem with loss of power and revs when the engine is cold. It feels like automatic choke cutting out too early and engine is short of fuel. It never happens when the engine is warm just when cold. Any ideas? I don't even know if cars still have automatic chokes

  Anyone else driven this with the 7 speed auto box...? Somehow it keeps going into 'M' (manual..?) mode where it is very reluctant to change gears automatically. Moving off from rest you hit the red line before an automatic gear change occurs. I like the idea of semi-automatics - automatic with 'manual overide', but I don't see the point of M mode..

  Has anyone converted an automatic mini to manual? My son's K reg. automatic failed and we've been quoted around £700 to repair, the cheaper option would be to fit a manual engine/ gearbox unit out of a mini or possibly a metro, apart from the obvious need for a clutch pedal is anyone aware of any problems I could expect while carrying this out?
