Honda Civic - 2012 Honda Civic -- no automatic diesel? - Knotty Tall

I see that the specification and prices for the upcoming Civic have now been released on various websites, but I am surprised that there appears to be no mention of an automatic gearbox on the diesel models.

I'd have thought that these economical new diesel engines would be crying out for an automatic box. Does anybody else think that this is a serious omission by Honda?
