  Hi All,  I am currently looking for a second hand car. I am currently looking at a Ford Fiesta (2009), Petrol 1.4, 96CV and a Mazda 2 (2008), Petrol 1.5, 103CV.  I need a reliable, small car to drive to and from work daily. Once a year I'd like to be able to drive across France and Spain if possible. I'd like something that is reliable and can overtake without issues on the motorway.

  Advice needed.... Just bought used 2009 Mazda 6 Tamura yesterday from a dealership. test drove it ect... Felt fine. Got home, took a trip to work this morning and I found it cut out in neutral twice whilst stopped at lights. Drives fine but sometimes the smell off rotten egg comes n goes which I've only noticed today.

  Hi I have a mazda 6 diesel estate 2.0 and the other week the DPF light started flashing. drove it down the motorway as it says to burn off the diesel soot, still flashing. put some diesel partical filter cleaner in with diesel took it for a run, still flashing. took car to my local garage he changed oil, filter and fuel filter and plugged into computer not showing anything wrong.

It’s got 62k on it but the service history was not good. I checked out all the DVLA records on the MOT’s and it all ties in.

  I've just read that mazda with their new 3, have a 2 litre, relatively low powered (114 bhp) motor as their cooking engine. This seems to be at odds with the small sized turbo's that just about everyone else seems to be going for.

  Car is :- MAzda 6 TS2 diesel 143 2006 @ 66,000 miles My engine oil light keeps flickering on and off at low speeds like a ticking noise coming from the engine. I have being told that the big ends bottoms need fully replacing that has what Mazda have said to me.

  So idiot that i am managed to lose the service books to my 2004 Mazda 6. I still have the manual/folder that the service book was originally in however I have no idea where the service books have actually gone. I bought my car through a dealer however there was only one previous owner and they had had the car serviced religiously ever 5000km.

  My 55k Mazda 6 has just had it's annual service by the local Mazda dealer and since then it's overheating and the heating and air con are working sporadically.  The coolant was replaced and the air con system was serviced.

  My Mazda garage confirmed that the engine malfunction light was due to the EGR valve and wanted to charge me £400+ for a new valve. The car isn't driving badly but does have idle problems occasionally and can stall at low revs.

  Any recommendations of having an engine flush when the oil is next changed? Would an engine flush sort these kind of issues? Otherwise, I guess it's down to the local Mazda dealer one morning, leave it there all day and return in the afternoon and fire it up.

  I am looking for a Mazda CX-5, and i have seen a few 3 and 4 year old ones, with 90k-100k miles on the clock but with Mazda full service history. My initial thought is that the DPFs are likely to be in good condition, and the engines are likely to have had fewer stop start journeys, so hopefully in reasonable condition.
