• Ford Fiesta - Serial number and radio code 4 Feb 2015 (Forum)
  Hi All, I recently just had my thermostat replaced and have just noticed my radio does not work and is asking for a key code. Having read other threads I believe I need to know the serial number to get the right code, however I do not know what my serial number is where can I find this?

  Has anyone had any sucess in repairing the radio aerial amplifier fitted to the rear screen of the saloon version of the A4. I have noticed that there is a crack across the plastic case of the amplifier near the connectors. The fix on the Audi website involves fitting bulldog clips to squeeze the case and hence improve the connections on the PCB.

  I turned off my sat nav whilst engine was off When i tured sat nav back on the radio has lost the restore to new stations. Also after a long run battery reads 12.7 but after 1 hour this is down to 12.2 Ihave checked removing all fuses but cannot find discharge. I gather american cars do this

  Hi, just changed a faulty headlight bulb ( now working ok) but have since had no power to radio or central locking. Any clues ? Door works with key, all doors centrally lock from drivers door switch inside, fuses apparently ok, battery fitted ok, all other electrics ok, not sure where to go next.

  Does anyone know how to turn off the timed auto off when the radio is on but ignition off. There doesn't appear to be an Acc position on the ignition key, and to reset after off I have to actually start the engine! The time period appears to vary as well. Very annoying!!

  dont know if anyone may be able to help... the girlfriends rover battery has been replaced and (suprise!!!) the radio code has been lost!! I have looked online but the prices they where asking are more than the entire car is worth!! anyone know where-and if i can get the code for free??? it's only a tape player!!!

  Hi all, I have just changed to a MK 5 Tdi and there is no AM reception whatsoever on the radio which is very frustrating when wanting to listen to the footie. As there is no visible ariel on the car - except a little thing stuck on the rear screen which looks like a mobile phone ariel - I really don't know where to start.

  Thanks to mjm I am now the proud owner of a radio with CD changer that has left his car to vacate a space for its replacement. It is still to be fitted but I am very grateful for the gift. I promise that when I get 5 minuits and the proper lead to go from the stereo to the CD changer I will look at fitting it in SWMBOs car.

  Has anyone heard the new safe driving ads running on Virgin radio? I'm a bit tired of hearing heads smash into each other in the seatbelts ad because I wear my seatbelt and don't drink drive, and the "Don't drive tired" one has a man talking in the most sleep inducing way he can, which is probably a tiny bit irresponsible if someone is tired!

  Hi All, a question for my boss (so please answer and keep me in the good books). He has just ordered his next company car, an A4 Avant with the free symphony radio upgrade. I seem to recall that there is a jack socket in the glove box where a generic MP3 player can be plugged in. Can anyone confirm if this is the case? as the Audi site is a bit poor on the details of the equipment.

  I seem to remember that a number of years ago Ford stated that by about the beginning of 2002 (IIRC) they would be fitting DAB digital car radios in all new Fords sold in the UK. It's now the second half of 2005 and no sign of this policy/promise being fulfilled. Anyone (especially Ford employees in the know) able to explain why ? (Originally posted a few days ago but lost in the "Bermuda triangle" event)

  The BBC web site SAYS that they broadcast a time signal on RDS, so why aren't I picking it up? I've tried Radio2 and Radio 4 but no joy on either.

  Apologies for asking what may seem a trivial question but it would mean a lot to me to have the original radio working again. We have spent a lot of time and effort restoring an MR2 MK2 to a lovely condition. It has the original radio and CD player in place and it needs a code to reset it. We've looked through all the documentation, asked on the owners forums and even asked the local dealer and there doesn't seem to be a way to reboot it.

  I have long thought that radio traffic reports were a good way to find out why the jam you are in occurred. And now proof. M1 southbound 12:16 today about 5 miles from M25 junction. Two car smack outside lane opposite carriageway.

  Since changing the battery on my Peugeot 406, the radio has lost it's code (dispite using a slave battery!) and I cannot find the code anywhere at home. I contacted the supplying dealer who said because the car had not been to them for two years it had "dropped off the system", but the could give me the code for a fee of £25.
