  • MoT Data for Harrow 6 May 2014 (News)
Harrow has an average pass rate of 62%. Failure rates for lighting and signalling are higher than they are elsewhere, but suspension and brake related problems are less common – possibly because Harrow is built up and well served by public transport, so cars aren't generally used as much.  Interestingly more modern cars have below average pass rates, whereas older models have above average pass rates.
  • MoT Data for Dundee 6 May 2014 (News)
The DD postcode covers a huge area of Scotland, where tight, potholed rural roads take their toll on suspension and other wear items - the rate of failures related to brakes in DD postcodes is 107 per cent higher than the national average. This is partly down to conditions, but it's also worth remembering that people who live in rural areas have to drive further to reach amenties, meaning higher annual mileages and more wear and tear.

  • VIDEO: Driver given suspended prison sentence after dangerous driving caught on dash cam 5 Mar 2018 (News)
"The footage clearly showed that Schofield deliberately undertook the tipper truck, then for no apparent reason deliberately pulled out into the path of the vehicle and intentionally slammed on his brakes. "Thankfully the driver of the truck was able to stop his vehicle in time and did not collide with Schofield’s car. However, I have no doubt that had it not been for the drivers quick-thinking actions, there could have been a serious collision, and the lives of innocent motorists could have been put at risk."
