  When turning corners (ie turning off/T junctions) at low speeds (10-15 mph) I get a creak from the front end drivers side as the car turns. Is this a problem with the suspension/damper/roll-bar? If so is it serious? Thanks

  LG's diesel vapour will be due to unused diesel which has been heated by the pumps being returned to the tank.

  Anyone see the diesel running on Vegetable oil on last nights TV show? It was great! The only modification required was to route the fuel line near some heat (provided by the cooling hoses) to thin the veggie oil a bit. Absolute genius.

  i've got an annoying rattle coming from the dashboard, and seems to be coming from the vent just under the windscreen?  has anyone else experienced this with a mondeo, focus etc... and can anyone help before i rip the dashboard out ( I am a girl after all...LOL  ;)  )

  Hi all, The windscreen is beginning to smear. Need new wipers. I'd usually just go to the Skoda dealer and get the Skoda ones, but would I be better off just going to Halfords and picking some up? If so, which ones?

  How do I remove the trim in my 1998 Alhambra without damage so I can take out the carpets? Haven't tracked down the leak yet. Assume it's from the windscreen seal but has anyone else had similar problems? Thanks for help.

  Does anyone have any tips on removing the air grille at the bottom of the Ka windscreen to get access to the heater air intake. There's something flapping about when the fan is on and I'd like to remove it. I can see the screws securing the grill inside the engine compartment but there are a number of plastic clips above the bonnet line.

  Just a little practical tip, not unknown, I'm sure: I had a persistent smear the length of the wiper blade on the windscreen of my Golf, where the left-hand blade finished its rightward travel, which became very annoying and even survived the valet's repeated deep glass cleaning. I've got rid of it simply by loading an old toothbrush with toothpaste and scrubbing the line thoroughly.

  I have got a 2002 model A4 Avant. Several months back the rear window was broken. It was repaired very ably by a well known windscreen replacement company. Trouble is some of the glass fragments are still stuck at the bottom of the tailgate. Said company tried to extract it but glass is still rattling around in tailgate. This is very annoying.

  Its just a small patch on both and is on the sweep of the glass above the reflector where it runs back towards the windscreen. I have checked the seals, there is no lens damage so I was wondering has anyone any ideas as to whats causing it? Thanks in advance John

  Well heres were i start and this is not to offend anyone with neon/other colour light, what do we all think of them? windscreen washers, undertray, door sills, grills, tyre dust caps, aren't many people going OTT on the discotech??? i know they are illgal but police do diddley squat, but hey who wants to fill in 5 sheets of A4 paper for having a couple of blue lights.

  According to the Haynes manual I can gain access to the motor through the bulkhead after removing the windscreen wipers etc but I cannot see how anybody with any ideas or anyone ever had the same problem. I would appreciate any help Thanks!

    It's almost as if it momentarily disconnects from the battery, and it then starts, but my time and date have reset and my windscreen wipers go up and down just for one cycle and then it automatically locks the doors. It's under warranty for 3 months so want to take it back to them and explain the problem, but don't want to be fobbed off due to not knowing about cars, and was hoping someone would know what the problem is likely to be before I take it back.

  I have started a collection of fragments of coil springs that I find on the roadside during my walks. They are becoming more and more common, and I have visions of a car driving past quickly and throwing one at someone's windscreen. I can't remember ever seeing them until recently, and drove for many years in Africa where the the main roads have far more potholes, and much worse.

  My wife's car is a 1.25 Ghia Auto and the rear windscreen wiper has suddenly stopped working. I have checked fuse and earth are okay, and wiring connections appear sound. With the wiper stalk in the on position, manually 'helping' the wiper arm to move across screen shows a feeble attempt to return to the parked position, which suggests there is power.

  So, what about personal responsibility for these matters ? A perfectly good and visible reminder is usually stuck on the windscreen about 4 ft from the driver ! Ted
