Ford Ka - access to heater air intake - IKM

Does anyone have any tips on removing the air grille at the bottom of the Ka windscreen to get access to the heater air intake. There's something flapping about when the fan is on and I'd like to remove it. I can see the screws securing the grill inside the engine compartment but there are a number of plastic clips above the bonnet line. These look as though they might break if forced.

There should be a number of rubber circular cover clips on the top of the grill (looking down from the windscreen), use a scre driver to prise these out, and underneath are the screws that hold the grill in place.
