Reliability survey 4 Jan 2013 (Forum)
Do we really need auto lights and wipers.?Twits with no common sense rely on auto lights to come on automatically little realising they generally need turning on in fog. Simple is best. :) http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/miscellaneous/2012-12/2012s-most-reliable-and-least-reliable-cars-according-to-warranty-direct/ -

Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - 07 1.8 heated screens 16 Feb 2010 (Forum)
My heated screens come on automatically on starting the car when temperature is below 4 degrees. Is this correct? I thought they only came on like this at 0 degrees but i have just had front end repaired (snow problem!) & wondered if the sensor or wiring had been upset. -

I now need to buy a "new" car (doesn't have to be) but it must have v comfortable seats preferably with electric adjustment and should be an automatic as I shouldn't really change gear. Also must be reliable. What do you suggest with budget up to £12k - could be saloon/hatch? -
Mercedes Benz A-Class W169 (2005 - ) - 15,000 miles a year - petrol or diesel? 6 Apr 2008 (Forum)
If you were driving 15,000 miles a year, travelling, primarily, at traffic-free times on A roads and motorways, would you plump for a petrol or diesel engine? My choices are a 1.5 or 1.7 petrol or a 2.0 diesel, with automatic transmission, in a 2 year old Mercedes A Class. -

My understanding is that an air conditioning unit it?s self can only be either on or off. So, how does automatic climate control modulate the coolth produced? As the temperature inside the car approaches the set point does the climate controller combine hot or warm air with the cold air to produce the desired temperature? -

Cavalier 16V Ecotec CamBelt Change 18 Apr 2003 (Forum)
It's the 2 litre 16V ecotec engine (X20XEV) in a '94 cavalier. Can anyone confirm if there is automatic tension adjustment, at fitment of a new belt, on this engine. The Haynes manual is really hazy about which version of the GM 16V engine has this feature. I want to tackle this job provided that there is no nagging doubt about the belt tension being correct. -
406 immobiliser 25 Sep 2002 (Forum)
I've got a Peugeot 406 that won't let me change the immobiliser from manual (got to put in the code EVERY time) to automatic (open with key and start engine within 1 minute). I've tried the instructions and followed them to the letter but the next time I unlock the car the code has to go in manually. Is it me or is it Peugeot electrics?
