mercedes c200 elegance estate 1997 - creamy sludge in radiator 1 Jan 2014 (Forum)
Hello, I bought this car not long ago (cheaply) but I have this issue. Creamy gunk in the radiator and expansion tank and the car over heating. The oil looks fine on the dip stick and under the rocker cover so I'm at a bit of a loss on this one. -
Volvo S60 T5 - Smoking Exhaust 5 Dec 2010 (Forum)
Hi There In the last week or so my car has developed a smoking exhaust, white ish in colour, that does not go away after the engine has heated up for a while. I have topped up the oil and perhaps the problem started after this. The car runs fine, and there doesnt appear to be any other problems, and the temp indicator doesnt flicker or move from the middle. -

Audi A3 electrical problem - bizzare! 8 Jan 2015 (Forum)
I have a 53 plate Audi A3 2.0 FSI that has developed a bizzarre electrical fault. The 'bonnet open' warning light is on (the bonnet is secure), the windscreen wash/wipe doesn't work, the screen wipers only work when the car is moving and the alarm has become super-sensitive. Also, the lights no longer flash when I lock the car using the fob, but they do when I unlock it. -
Renault Scenic (1999 - 2003) - 1999 scenic heater / water problem 21 Mar 2008 (Forum)
The other thing i have noticed is the heater now only works on the setting for the windscreen and not on any other settings, such as at feet level or into the actual car. Can anyone shed any light on what these two faults could be associated too? -
Visible VIN 5 Sep 2006 (Forum)
It all looked fine, pretty tidy for the year (93) seemed to have service history and looked an honest car. I arranged to come back to test drive it but as i left noticed that the windscreen VIN had been painted from underneath with body coloured paint. The dealer explained that in the past people were able to write down the VIN and then order a key from Mercedes and come back and help themselves to the car, I've never heard of this and presumed the cars got something wrong with it so left. -

all & any! - Car parking abuse 27 Aug 2016 (Forum)
Can’t box the car in either as it would block the car park entrance. We don't use a parking management company, it's unusual that someone is so brazen to totally ignore A4 flyers. -

2004 Nissan Micra 1.4L 5 dr hatch - RH Rear Indicator playing up 17 May 2021 (Forum)
My tech simply opened the case, located the CPU and pressed it back into place; the start/run/stop sequence was heating and expanding the CPU's pins, thus working the CPU and pins upwards and out of contact with the base. So now we know why modern CPUs have a wire clamp - to keep the pins in place! I've often found that the simplest solutions are the best ones and hope I don't have to add to this post. -
