  Hi all, My problem is that the alarm will not switch off, the blip works fine with new batteries and locks/unlocks the doors, the flashing led remains on, hence when you unlock doors the horn sounds and will not switch off, unless you turn ignition on, but the immobiliser is still on so i cannot start the car. I cannot find where the alarm is situated. MARK 1 PEUGEOT 405 ESTATE LXD K REG WHATEVER YEAR THAT IS. Thanks in advance {K reg ran from 1992 to 1993 - DD}

  i have a peugeot 306 glx 1997 r reg wen i try to lock my car i get the lock n unlock thing going on but i also get a groaning noise coming from the passenger front door near the lock/latch wen i try to lock the car?

  Peugeot 306 td. Had a problem with the clutch, lost sensible use over night, couldn't engage 1st and reverse, usual suspects, so changed cable to no avail, thinking becouse the clutch arm is very loose, maybe bushes worn top and bottom inside housing?

  i have a peugeot 607 2.0hdi 110 hp 52 plate with 90000 miles on the clock its been ok apart from the fap filter witch cloged but has been replaced but it has now developed a missfire well not a missfire but at low throtle openings or just before going on to overrun i.e coasting the engine picks up and makes the car surge for a split second it dosnt do it all the time but seems more likey to happen when the car is up to running tempreture there is no engine managment light on

  Hi, i have just had the water pump and timing belt changed in the Peugeot 206. The garage it was at said they know there was a problem because they counld hear a groaning noise from the water pump. Now I have it back, and the engine is still making noises, both what sounds like a groaning noise to me and a higher pitched noise.

  My uncle has a camper van based on a 2000 Peugeot Boxer 1.9TD. When he starts the engine, sparks are visible from the earth strap between the chassis rail and the gearbox housing. I suspect it would make better sense, rather than just clean up all the contacts, to replace the strap.

But more seriously, is this good news for indy garages? - i.e. will the same engine diagnostic computer work on all these models?

  hi a friend of mine is in dire straights ,his peugeot expert diesel is driving him mad ,when driving along it keeps dieing a death with the engine management light showing ,if he leaves it a good few mins it will start again and run until the same things happens again which is a bit risky when motorway driving ,hes had it on dianogstics and it reports no faults ,hes changed filters etc but still no joy ,any one have a clue what he can try next its costing him hundreds as it is a taxi and darnt take long journeys ,oh its on a 52 plate cheers

  Hi, I have a diesel N reg Peugeot 106. Starting has been getting gradually worse up to a point where it requires priming every time to start now. Further investigation has led me to a diesel leak above the fuel filter housing. When priming diesel leaks quite fast out of the outlet above the fuel filter.

  I have had overheating problems including loss of coolant with my peugeot. The car ran for 4 hours (stationary) on Friday in the heat and as the temperature got close to 90 the fan cut in and brought it down.......everything fine and no overheating. I then took it for a run on Saturday and at speeds up to 60 mph everything was fine temp between 70 and 90 but then over this speed the temperature began to climb up to 105.

  While getting around to arranging an engineer to look at it I have been trying to use my mobile (Nokia 6310i) with a bluetooth earpiece. This works fine out of the car and in other peoples cars, but as soon as I try to use it in the peugeot nobody can hear what I am saying. I can hear them clearly, but all they can hear is interference. Anybody experienced similar problems?

  Just acquired a T-reg (1999) Peugeot 306 Estate with the HDI engine. Went to Halfords to buy a technical handbook, but the Haynes one, which claims to cover all models of the 306 up to T/1999 does NOT include the HDI engine. As you'd expect, the owner's handbook is sparse, to say the least.

  hi guys its me again, just learned i might be getting some help with finance for the car i wanna buy, (previously i was looking at 91 renalt clio 1.4 rt for driving backwards and forwards from bournemouth to hertfordshire). so now with that in mind i want to look out for peugeot 106 quicksilvers if poss, with the gti body kits on them but with a small and cheap to insure engine. where are the best sites to look out for these if you know any? and whats a good price for one thats a about 5 years old.

  Does anyone know how to remove the paper oil filter element, which has replaced the cartridge type on a Peugeot 206? I have removed the plastic oil filter housing and in trying to extract the paper element from the housing find that it will withdraw about an inch then appears to hit some form of restriction.
