Hello, Just wondered if anybody could point me in the right direction, The heated rear windows has just stopped working so I assumed it was a fuse, But after checking the 30 amp fuse which is ok in the passenger glove box just wondered if it might be a RELAY.....Can anybody tell me which one and colour as that is the only thing I can think of, Thanks -
Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 2001 2.0 Petrol - Estate - Exhaust Heat Shield 13 Dec 2007 (Forum)
Hi all Could anyone please tell me how the exhaust heat shield (behind the back box, next to the nearside rear wheel arch) on my 2001 Mk3 Mondeo estate (2.0 petrol) should be held on? Mine has come loose and is rattling around. The Haynes manual doesn't seem to say anything about it. -
53 mondeo heater 10 Jan 2007 (Forum)
Gents I have a 53 zetec s 130tdci mondeo and the heater seems to be playing up. In "normal mode the heat used to come out at the feet, face and screen . It now only comes out at the screen. If you select an option on the heater control eg feet then it will blow all the heat at the feet, the same for face and screen. -

Not declaring mods to insurers 24 Jun 2010 (Forum)
We are dealing with an insurabce claim at the moment where there is a refusal to indemnify after an accident because the insurer's assessor found there were tints on the vehicle which had not been declared. The tints were perfectlly legal as the light transmission on the windscreen and front side windows was within VOSA guidelines and although the rears were heavily tinted the law says these are irrelevant. But the client had not declared them. The car is a write off in a fault claim on which the tints could not be shown to hve any bearing. -

Incorrect info on Ticket 29 Jun 2004 (Forum)
A friend of mine got back to his car - saw the dreaded yellow ticket - near his car (had fallen off) the windscreen. The traffic warden has entered the colour of te car as blue. It is black. Can he refuse payment - on these grounds - i.e. details are incorrect on the ticket? -
Anyone bought a car with EXACT mileage? 7 Apr 2003 (Forum)
There\'s a garage in North Wales selling a yellow P-Reg Fiat Barchetta (sp?) for £5,995. Its says on the ad on the windscreen that it has done 90,000 miles. A glance at the speedo shows a mileage of ..... 90,000 (exactly!). Is such an exact mileage suspicious? And is it a good car for the price? It\'s LHD by the way! -

V.W golf mk4 1999 .v.reg v.5 - climatronic heat/cooling system 6 Feb 2013 (Forum)
clicking sound from rear of parcelbox in passenger footwell, narrowed it down to climatronic when I press the recirc/ button the clicking stops for a sec then starts in a diff/ tone I have managed to stop it by randomly pressing buttons, it starts on it's own, or when ignition is switched on. not a const/ click but a pattern to the clicking. it seems to be switching the air intake? P.S the car gets little use over a year!! -
BMW 3 Series Compact E46 - Glue for door mirror glass 14 Sep 2012 (Forum)
Noticed a wobbly mirror today and when I got home gave it a prod. The glass came away from its backing plate unbroken. Car is old so no need for a new glass which is quite expensive. Question is how to stick the glass back to its heated backing plate. Superglue round the edges? Thought of double sided sticky tape but that might not work with the heat. -
Ford Fiesta 98 - Fiesta Heater Valve 21 Feb 2010 (Forum)
Hello.. I have an S reg ford fiesta, recently my heating died and I replaced the heater valve; which cured the problem. Now, after about 3 weeks the heating is only blowing cold AGAIN. I've checked the valves connected, the 2 valves from the engine are hot, the two valves going into the car are cold - So the problem is halfway (Heater valve unit :/) Unless, is there anything else that can be causing this? -
Omega climate control 2 Jan 2003 (Forum)
The climate control on my '99 2.5 Elite is not functioning correctly. Drive off on a cold morning and it heats up the car fine. But a few miles down the road and it will only chuck out cold air despite whatever setting its on. The only way to get heat out of it is to go right up to 'HI'. Originally this only affected the passenger side, but cured itself. -
VW GOLF 1.6tdi - Heating system flush 3 Dec 2021 (Forum)
I have reported on this before, but as its getting cold I have to fix my cars lack of heating, a large has quoted £500 for a heater matrix fully fitted, though others have quoted upwards of £1000 saying its a pig of a job. A number of you tube videos seem to suggest that the entire dashboard does not need taking out and that it can done from the footwells only removing parts of the lower dash. -
Citroen Zx Diesel Engine OVerheating 21 Nov 2006 (Forum)
I have an L reg citroen ZX 1.9 diesel and after driving for about 5 minutes the engine oile temperature guage gradually sneaks up to the red. In addition, NO heat is coming out of the air fan heaters for the inside of the car. I've checked that there is enough oil in the engine, and enough water in the radiator and there is. The radiatior gets warm when the engine first starts, and all the pipes too and from it get warm as the engine heats up, but once it gets into the top end of the temperature scale, the radiator gets very cold (fans come on too, but I'd expect a little residual heat in there coming off from the cooling fans?) -
