Is this parking ticket valid?

I drove a way before council warden placed ticket on car - what are the current rules? Is the ticket valid if sent in post, as it was not attached to windscreen or handed to me and the warden was not obstructed in any way.

The warden advised people with me after I drove away that I face a £1,000 fine for driving away before he issued the ticket - is this legal?

You still committed the offence and your car is traceable from its plates so you can still get done. You could get fined for preventing a police officer doing his duty. Don't think it's the same for traffic wardens.
