Chrysler Grand Voyager - Heater not heating 14 Mar 2015 (Forum)
Just bought a used Chrysler Grand Voyager (2006 model) - the Auxiliary Cabin Heater seems to be on all the time even when the engine heats up (apparently between 1/4 and 1/2 on the gauge is ok?). This is with the AC setting on Hi or set to 25-30 (70+). Even when the engine gets to 1/2 the 'blower' remains cold or fairly cold. -

1989 Ford Orion body leaks 18 Oct 2001 (Forum)
Ive wallpapered the interior of the boot with newspaper and I find after persistant light rain with the car stationary, quite a lot of water appears on the inner vertical sides of the boot. That is, starting within the metal guards where the swinging arms of the two hinges rotate. Ive also traced a small leak [a slow weep] coming through the rubber sealing strip which secures the rear windscreen but that is very slight and I think it is diverting me away from the correct area to investigate. -
Our car was stolen while we left the keys in to defrost it - can we claim for any damage? 8 Mar 2018 (Ask HJ)

Blowing hot & cold 17 Oct 2001 (Forum)
Can anyone out there solve a family argument?! I like driving the car with the windows and sunroof open and the heater on cold. SHMBO is the exact opposite, liking the heater to actually heat the car. That's all well and good until we're in the car together. I was excited to see that the new Citroen C5 may solve our problems in that it can heat on side of the car (SHMBO) and freeze another (mine). -

Vauxhall Vectra C (2002 - 2008) - 04 1.8 Alarm may have killed car 17 Feb 2009 (Forum)
When locking the locks would go down and then immediatly pop up. A further press they would go down and then deadlock. Anyway, I had the car in the garage last Friday to have the windscreen washer pump replaced because it had broken. I asked if they could have done anything to upset the car and they said than they did not disconnect the battery, but they did adjust the 4 rubber stoppers across the front of the car that the bonet rests on becasue they had trouble opening the bonet. -

Rover Streetwise - Cooling System Headache 1 Dec 2013 (Forum)
Had alot of problems with my streetwise's heaters / overheating engine. Firstly, the heaters were rubbish & took ages to heat up. I took to garage and they pressure washed the coolant system to clear any blockages. This didnt work so they changed the thermostat - this has helped the time it takes to heat up but now when i use the car for the first trip of the day, t as soon as the engine has heated up & the speed hits 50/60 mph, the temp gauge shoots right up to the red zone & heaters blow cold - so have to reduce speed. -
BMW 3 Series E46 - engine overheat 26 Jan 2011 (Forum)
background on car. driving along engine overheated. found aux belts come off and wrapped around viscous fan. tensioner pulley had broken. replaced tensioner and belts with new parts as old ones broken/damaged. topped up coolant, and bled system, run engine, heat through heating, then no heat and then engine overheat. had codes read, came up with coolant temperature sensor issue, replaced sensor assy and thermostat as comes as one unit. top up + bleed cooling system - still overheating. strip down cooling system, checked water pump, oil cooler, flushed radiator and heater matrix, flushed coolant hoses - no issues found, refit all parts, refill cooling system, guess what - still overheats. -

Galaxy Mk3 TDCi - Galaxy Mk3 leak. Does this look normal? 3 Jan 2022 (Forum)
The area around the upstand was clogged so I cleaned this out. Put it all back together - but still appears to be leaking into the car.. Main question after all this is whether water should end up underneath the plastic cowl that runs long the underside of the windscreen? Kind of hard to explain without a photo. I can understand that at either end any water should drain down the skuttles, but it isn't obvious that water dripping in the middle will get there, and might be the source of leaking into the cabin through any bulkhead fitting. -
