pulled out the fuel pressure regulator at the weekend and blew it out with a air hose, all was clean there. plugged the computer in and one injector was injecting too much fuel, got that one changed and still happening. I also have a red stop light with temp light coming on only when cab blower is on with front windscreen setting, once I change to the feet or face setting it stops, lots say its the fan motor gone, any advise on both thanks N.P -

Why do dealers put stickers on the windscreen of used cars saying that they're diesels, but don't put anything on the screens of petrol cars? -
Does aircon normally run when heater is on? 23 Jun 2009 (Forum)
Why would a car be designed to use a/c when it was trying to heat? I know the heat is effectively free, but the a/c compressor must put some load on the engine. I guess I should keep the a/c off when I don't need it in future. -

Length of time 'till first MOT. 22 Feb 2006 (Forum)
Processed an extremely tatty 2005 '05 reg Passat today with 17k up so ready for disposal. What shocked me though was the state the car had got itself into. All tyres worn with front two nearly bald on inside edges, cracked rear lense and chipped and cracked windscreen. I'm not an expert but i'm sure all these points would fail a MOT test. -
How to deal with a Land Rover 23 Dec 2002 (Forum)
My problem with this was as follows, the sun was low, the roads were still slippy, and we were doing the speed limit through a residential area, I had left a safe distance from the car in front, his bullbars were just a few feet from my bumper. Oh, and he was reaching into the passenger footwell so that he could get his mobile to make a call. Then I remembered a piece of advice that I read, maybe on this very forum, i can't remember. -

Volkswagen Golf IV (1998 - 2004) - VW Main Dealer Con trick ( on no not another one ) 11 Mar 2008 (Forum)
Brother has a Golf IV TDI He has VW extended warranty, all ok so far, but they told his wife when she was collecting the car after service, that they recommend replacing the front discs, due to corrosion on the outside edge, NOT the braking surface, the edges ! because " it wont dissipate the heat properly and it could be dangerous" I think its nonsense, they are taking the SNIP as they can't charge for the many other things it needed but were done under the warranty, they also said the pads were 90% worn, but they were in fact replaced last April, and car only done 5000 miles since. but not at VW garage, so their computer suggests they need doing. -
