  The main problem is that they don?t do YELLOW, MIL has always had yellow cars so she can find them easily in the car parks, try the Metro centre car parks and you will see why. She has also had Polos that have then been passed to us, I just don?t think that the new Polo is the right car for them even though you can get it in YELLOW for £150 extra.

  I attempted to execute some rapid turn and stops around the empty carpark, but couldn't really induce the noise again. The tyres and wheels looked fine. I therefore set off again, but had got only about another 5 km down a dual carriage with some fast roundaboubts to here the noise again but more noticeably. I parked in an emergenyc layby and, following my wife's helpful suggestion that she hoped that the wheels were not about to fall off (I jest not), carefully inspected the wheel nuts on the left rear.

  On the way the steering starts to feel heavy again and by the time we arrive it's back as bad as it was on the first day the issue started. Car is only possible to park by wrestling the steering wheel around. Let the garage know the problem is still ongoing and arrange to take it in on Monday. Parked it for the weekend for fear of damaging anything further. Monday 16th May Garage collect car, test 3 times - can't replicate issue.

  It won't be poicked up by my friend for another week or two, so I have been using it a bit to shift some big things which don't fit easily in my car, as well as taking it off to get parking sensors fitted. Mostly it seems fine: quiet, smooth-riding, comfortable, very spacious, simple to drive (though huge to park). It has no handling vices that I have found, but it doesn't feel brilliantly planted on the road.

  Hi all, I have a Mondeo 1.8 TD (L Registration), which was until recently running fine. I was low on fuel a couple of Saturdays ago (Just on the red) so I put £20.00 worth of diesel in from Tesco. I drove home (approximately 20 miles) and it ran fine. I did not use the car again until the Monday morning when I drove it to friends (about 3 miles away.)

  I plugged my cheapo obd2 gizmo in and it told me of a fault code U0073 Control module communication bus A off , i erased the code and restarted the car a few times and nothing changed. I only had like 10 ish miles left to get to legoland so i kept going , parked up and when i got back to the car ,  it drove fine all the way home. This issue has happened in the past around 4 other times , im quite sure it gave different codes before but not 100% sure as i cant remember them.

  Should fall under the offence of driving without due consideration for others and BOTH should be fined. I must admit that it happened to me in a street where i was driving on my side of the road and there was a long line of cars parked on the opposite side, just before i reached the far end of the line (so almost clear) a bus pulled out diagonally and blocked the way, forcing me to stop.

    Looked all over the engine, no sign of a leak.  Inside van is dry so not the matrix.  Its running fine, no change in normal temperature, warning lights etc.   Had MOT last Wednesday, so while it was over the pit, they ran the engine and looked all over - nothing.  They then parked it outside, still running for 15 minutes, with some cardboard underneath to show any drips - nothing!

  I have a 2002 Ford Fiesta Courier van 1.8 turbo diesel endura engine.  A week ago I parked in my drive after using it all day when it was running fine.  Next morning when I tried to start it , it just turned over and would not fire.  Glow plug light on the dash was flashing.  I connected a tet bulb to glow plugs to check relay worked OK.

    Loads of pull. Brakes always been poor. Most recently, a sever lack of power when cold.  Starts fine, no smoke, no noises bangs or rattles.  On all accounts, the car is smooth and quiet.  Just when cold it won't rev and takes an age to get moving until warmed up.  I checked the oil and it was way below normal, so It's been using oil somewhere.

  Hiya everyone please can anyone confirm my diagnosis, or had similar problem. My car has been running fine and used daily. Today I drove approximately 10 miles and stopped to get a drink etc. The car was parked for about 15mins and when I tried to restart, it was completely dead.   A few days later a mate and I decided on a trip to the Isle of white (happening place in those days).....and having still had no trouble with the tint, decided to go in my newly blinged up motor. All was fine until we were waiting in the Ferry car park, it was a long wait so we got a couple of coffees and stood em on the dash........about 3 minutes later the tint was running down the windscreen and was such a snip mess that I couldn't see properly to drive.

  Bout a year ago after a really stormy night i came out and the car wouldnt rev over 3500. the wee engine management light came on and i parked it up and got a taxi to work (i was late). i came home that day and was about to take it round to the dealship when it just started fine. thought it must have been a load of water got into th exhaust and the wee run i gave it dried it out again. never thought any more about it.

  Reapplying my foot on the accelerator is not working now, and when the engine is idling the car shudders slightly. The other day it turned itself off entirely when I was cruising very slowly looking for parking. When I took it to the mechanics they said the coil was fine but that they had cleared out a tube which was blocked. This hasn't made any difference though. They don't seem to have any suggestions as to what else it might be.

  This afternoon I was driving my Renault Scenic Megane Y Reg 1.9dci Dynamique when I heard a noise that I thought indicated a puncture. I was about 4-5ft away from a safe parking space and proceeded to stop but then heard grating type noises sounding like plastic being smashed and my car came to an abrupt halt and a loss of all electrics. I checked for loose battery connections etc and all seemed fine.
