  Hi, I’m not sure if this is being posted in the right place but I really need some help car buying. I am looking to buy a new car and the car I am looking at is a 2013 bmw 3 series with 40,000 miles on the clock. Firstly, is buying such a car with this kind of age/ mileage a good idea? Secondly, I have done a hpi check and the check came back with a mileage discrepancy.

  With a body made carbon fibre, sets made from recycled bottles, even the key is made from castor beans in a factory powered by hydro it should be renamed the Greta. I loved the idea of the BMW motorcycycle engine in the rear just in case the charge runs out, this car is an icon. Brilliant performance but expensive to make, even the £31,850 price tag with the government grant which dissapears soon, doesn't cover the manufacturing costs.

  HELP! Hi, guys. I've got a year 2000 BMW 320d. The car has done 150k on the clock and at present I am experiencing very little power. It drives absolutely fine in the low rev. I can really fell turbo kicks in and suddenly a really rather large surge of power from 1600 rpm to 2200rpm.

  Help please, the problem is my Son has driven his 1999 BMW without water and initially siezed the engine.  The garge was reluctant to look at, but they tried to do an esy fix, but now say that the car can only be scrapped as engine is drinking water and it would be too difficult to replace the head gasket and the car isn't worth doing.

  Hi everyone, I'm looking for something under £4,000 and I'd like something with a bit of style. The reason I'm looking at BMW/Merc/Lexus is for reasons of build quality and reliability. I can't afford to buy something that will constantly cost me money so a big thirsty engine is probably not what I want. If anyone can suggest other ultra-reliable makes (VW) go ahead!

  Having had a company car for the last 15 years a change of job means I need to purchase my next car. I am looking at 2.0L diesel either an Audi A4 S-Line or a BMW M-Sport.  I am looking to spend around £18k. So how much can I realistically expect to haggle off the cost of a car in this price bracket when buying from a dealer? Constructive advice gratefully received guys.

   Looks like it should be fairly easy but I don't want to force trim off and end up snapping clips. Or if anyone has any idea which section of the BMW TIS Software I can find this in that would be helpful, i've spent ages looking but it doesn't seem to be there. Thanks, Adam  
• MINI Cooper + Cooper S - coolant level dropping quickly 19 Dec 2010 (Forum)
  I have a mini cooper 06 which has done about 27K miles.  Last month the coolant started leaking and recently BMW found the thermostat + thermostat housing was at fault. This was replaced by BMW and the coolant level on the day was topped up to max. It has only been a week since all this and already the coolant level has dropped to minimum!

  Why don't BMW and M-B bring the 4wd versions of their saloons/estates to the UK? In other parts of the world there are E Class, S Class, 3 and 5 series with 4wd, but not here. Is it that the cars would be too expensive for the market, LHD/RHD integration problems or not wanting to cannibalise sales of X3,X5 and ML?

  I have just purchased a BMW 118i from {snip, no need to name them as irrelevant to question being asked} first registered 9/07, mileage 20,000. Checking the service book properly at home the first service was carried out in April 09 after 18,000 miles.

  Just bought a BMW 318SE Auto petrol from a Car supermarket in west London. When car is idle .. below 1,000 rpm I could hear a kind of clunky or diesel sound coming from the engine. the car does have a full service history.
