Mazda MX5 - Heated rear screen fault 1 Dec 2010 (Forum)
I have come across something similar to this before, but only for repairing low current items such as pcbs. Will this be a proper fix? (The car is still under warranty.) -
Land Rover Discovery (1989 - 1998) - 1997 2.5 Over Heating. Need Help Bad!!! 6 Mar 2009 (Forum)
As soon as I would start it again, the engine would be cooler, and the heat would be back on. Anyway, Replaced the radiator with a used one, drained the system, put in a new thermostat housing and thermostat, & new water pump. Still over heating and not overheating. Heat comes on and soon goes off. -
Vauxhall Zafira - Zafira b recall work and missing heater fuse 17 Jan 2021 (Forum)
Had my recall work done for the heater motor work at Vauxhall bristol street motors local garage over a year ago. Since then my heating has never got hot only ever so slightly luke warm. The fans work fine but never any heat coming out, seems strange after it has had recall. After some recent investigation I have checked the fuse box and realised fuse 4 is now missing ( heating and air con). -
Vauxhall Astra G Diesel (1998 - 2004) - 02 1.4 Rear windscreen wiper, will is fail MOT? 16 Jan 2010 (Forum)
Hi all. My car is going for MOT on monday. All is fine with the car and should pass, however I have one concern. The rear wiper has never worked since I got the car last August. I have changed the motor in the boot and the relay on the fuse panel and it still dosen't work. -
Windscreen and icing 21 Jan 2005 (Forum)
I personally favour my gym membership card instead of a halfords scraper as it makes me feel I am getting some value out of it. What can I do to stop the car icing up on the inside? In some conditions the car will have major condensation which is beyond the powers of the heater to clear. I soak it up with newspaper or bog roll before waiting an age for the heater to finish the job. -
Ford C-MAX 2.0 TDCI GHIA - C-Max electrical failure due to heated rear window 9 Dec 2010 (Forum)
During invesitigation at main dealer multiple circuits were isolated to locate fault. After car had been fixed multiple items on car fail when heated rear window turned on, fault is not consistent and can not locate fault. When heated rear window operated the radio switches off completely (no time on screen), rear window heater does not operate (light on dash operates) interior lights do not work, rear wash wipe does not operate and rear door locks do not work, there may be others but have not checked operation of all eatures but all other electrical systems seem to function correctly. -

Volkswagen Golf IV (1998 - 2004) - 99 TDi - Slow windscreen wipers. 12 Jun 2011 (Forum)
My Golf Mk4 (T reg TDI 110) windscreen wipers have suddenly started to sweep slowly; I guess at about half speed. The higher of the two speed settings is a bit faster but not right. Intermittent works but at the reduced rate. I've tried pulling the blades clear of the screen to see if the rubbers were sticky but there is still no improvement when the blades are not in contact with the glass. -
Honest John’s Motoring Agony Column 06-01-2018 Part 2 8 Jan 2018 (Forum)
To JT, regarding their two issues (if they are a member here), if they have the time, ability (i.e. not an OAP with limited range of movement etc) and inclination, I would check out these two very instructive videos by well-respected US YouTube mechanic 'Chris Fix': Headlamp (or any car lamp, front or rear) restore - note that Brasso, toothpaste (he tried that and others in a test video) etc are temporary fixes as the top protective coat against sun/heat damage is taken off by these others: https://www.youtube.com/watch? -
3.0 d - isuzu trooper 1 Dec 2010 (Forum)
i have recently bought a 3.0 trooper , and noticed that thier have been some changes to it, i first noticed that it was not going into 4wd as the light just flashes and i'm unable to move the l/h ratio gear stick , i then noticed that the heater plug light dosn't illumiate, so on further inspection i found that the engine has been replaced with the better 3.1 and thier is a button that has been installed you have to press to get the heater plugs to heat up. i know that this is the better engine but should i be able to get the 4wd system to work, or does it need some tinkering, i have noticed that the relay box , if you look from the front of the car ie driver on left pass on right , in the top right hand side it looks as though thier should be a relay box as thier are some wires etc that are not attached to anything. can you help or can you recommend any one who knows how to get the 4wd system to work ie a specialist, many thanks -
Useable Classic. What's your choice? 2 Aug 2010 (Forum)
Do any Vauxhalls exist worth considering at all? If you have a garage with good lighting/heating, what would you enjoy disappearing for a few hours a week this winter to mess about with? (with 4 wheels that is!! Hmmm) I always loved B-Series Oxfords, Cambridges. An unhurried gentleman's car in a world of Cortinas, Corsairs, Vivas and Victors. -

Ford Focus - 59 reg - Windscreen washer not working 18 Aug 2015 (Forum)
Hi Everyone A few weeks ago I noticed that the jet of water coming out of the windscreen wasker spouts had lost some power - the water was barely hitting the screen. A couple of times it took a few presses of the button on the streering wheel to get some water out (and annoyingly the wipers themselves were going at it on a dry windscreen making it even harder to see!). -
Vauxhall Astra G 1999 - Trouble with valve to heater matrix 17 Nov 2013 (Forum)
