  Then it ran and ran all the way to £7,500 that might still have seemed value to the private buyer but was way past any bona fide trade bid. Other cars just did it by themselves. A steel wheeled 2005/55 R50 MINI diesel with a rev counter and a/c and 31,000 miles made it all the way to £7,600, retaining its place as Britain’s lowest depreciator. Audis were making jaw-dropping money.

  Honda Back in Full Production 8 Apr 2012 (News)
  Honda's recent plan to build a new US$337 million (10.37 billion baht) factory in Indonesia sparked concerns that it would remove production from Thailand following severe floods that hit its assembly plant in Ayutthaya last year. Honda already builds the Jazz based Freed mini 7 seater in Indonesia. But the company has confirmed that the Indonesian project has nothing to do with its Thai operation. The company yesterday held a ceremony to officially resume operations at the Ayutthaya plant after it was closed on Oct 8 last year due to the floods.

  Of those, it's Tony Dolley from Bridgwater in the 206 who is on good form and way ahead on points from a plethora of locals, including Bristol's Mark Wyatt in the Astra, Atworth's Rob Ballard in the SEAT Cupra and Trowbridge's Mark Funnell in the Mini which defied logic again last time by making the podium. Class C has a new leader, with Nick Clark loving his Suzuki Swift and making life tough for Will Burns from Weston Super Mare in the Fiesta. Five drivers are within range of the Castle Combe Sports and GT championship title, but with that useful extra point is Simon Tilling in the powerful Radical SR3.

  The cars are Ecotricity's Nemesis, Mercedez  Benz's Smart E, Mitsubishi's i-Miev, BMW's Mini E and two the Liberty E-Range Range Rovers, the world's first pure electric 4x4 vehicle.   Iain Gray Chief Executive of the Technology Strategy Board, who is taking part in the rally said:  "It's great to get the opportunity to take part in the rally and travel to London in a Liberty E- Range Rover.

The continuing popularity of the immortal Austin 7 was underlined with the sale of a 1936 Ruby that had spent over 50 years in storage following an accident (sold for £4,950) and the 1934 PD 2-seat Tourer that had been sympathetically restored some years ago (£5,825).
