  I have tried various windscreen washes over the years and never found anything effective. I have now discovered Autoglym Car Screen Polish. It is quick and easy to use. No more streaks - the rain and dirt float off. It is not expensive either - £5 currently buys a decent sized bottle.

  I have recently bought a 1998 Audi A4 Quattro from a small dealer who had the windscreen replaced a week before I purchased the car. I'd had the car 3 days when the windscreen cracked from the top of the screen to just below the rear view mirror. There is no evidence of a stone chip or any other damage to the screen so I am assuming the crack is some form of stress fracture.

  I noticed there's a new campaign to encourage seat belt use, front and rear, despite there being legal requirements to use them . I suspect belt usage is way below 90% in the front and 50% in the back , and it occurs to me that in addition to any moral arguments for using them ( such as the effect on family and friends when you hurtle thorugh your windscreen , or the trauma for emergency services when they try to extract you) .

  A fully loaded Mercedes Benz E320 AvantGarde in Black, with nappa black leather ( soft as a babes bum), satnav, panaoramic roof with solar panels to run the a/c or heating when youre not in it, Bose auto change cd and 12 speakers, parktronic back and front, sports set up, massaging seats, auto boot opener, each seat with its own air con control (upgraded)auto boot opener and closer, rear window blind, full telephone kit, radar on the cruise control that applies the brakes when too close to the car in front!!!

  No auto dimming rear view mirror - again my 1998 Scorpio had that, so did my VW Bora. 4. No heated windscreen (Scorpio and Galaxy again) 5. No Heated seats - Ford Galaxy and Scorpio both both those in 1998/1999 6. No electric memory seats (Ford Scorpio, Peugeot 406). Now, heres the thing, I haven;t looked in detail at any Audi, BMW, or Merc before, but the dealer says that these premium German brands are usually badly equipped, however this is not the lead in 1.6 I am looking at, but the flagship 3.2 Quattro.

  The vehicles age is almost 1 year, May 2016 is the registration date. After 3 days since I bought the car a small chip and crack appeared on my windscreen. I did 2 investigations, one at BMW and one with Autoglass and it seems that the windscreen had the chip and it was previously repaired. Now it has 2 cracks around the chip, which appeared after I bought the car, like I said, after 3 days.

  It was a tempoary traffic light, it was placed in a stupid position that caused traffic to backup through a junction of actual permenant traffic lights. Once I cleared that junction myself and the other cars in front approached a set of tempoary traffic lights. They changed to green  - for like two seconds - before going to red. Four cars in front of me drove through the red light, so I followed them.

  I run a 1997 Audi A4 1.9 TDI.It starts first turn,runs brilliantly with plenty of poke and economy.However on starting from cold and driving a few miles as soon as the heater starts blowing warm air onto the windscreen a problem ensues.When going round a bend the windscreen gives sharp cracking noises.These noises sound almost like a stone hitting your screen at speed.Once the car is warm though all is quiet again.Has anyone any idea about the cause or a possible cure?
