  • Mazda 2 - Perforated Sticker 15 Jul 2021 (Forum)
I am reading alot about certain areas on your front windscreen where you can't have any stickers/sat navs etc but I can't find any info on rear windows.    Hope this isn't a silly question.    Thanks in advance :)

  • Windscreen disc clutter - the Law ? 21 Apr 2006 (Forum)
I have very great respect for the BRs who regularly advise on traffic law. I was once told to remove discs from my windscreen to get the car through the MOT. The tester said that only certain discs could be displayed. Can anyone refer me to the clause ? My employer wants me to put the company permit on the windscreen, and I want to put it on the rear sidescreen where it won't restrict vision.
  • Rain sensing wipers/ new windscreen 23 Jun 2005 (Forum)
Hi Folks, I would be grateful for a bit of advice please. Driving under a bridge last night when a piece of masonry fell from the bridge and cracked my windscreen. I was considering replacing the windscreen myself rather than go through the insurance (and loose my NCD). My car has those rain sensing wipers, so I was wondering if they are likely to add to the cost of replacement significantly ?
  • SsangYong Korando - Decision made 8 Nov 2021 (Forum)
So, took the boss down to the Dealer this morning and showed her the cars. Was offered a pre-reg (pre reg late sept 2021)  Ventura Manual in white, 6 speed, has front and rear parking sensors and reversing camera plus all the bells and whistles. The ELX base model that i was considering does not have the camera and sensors, or half leather  heated seats and no parcel shelf cover, or upper floor boot cover..
  • Honda Jazz/Fit (2001 - 2008) - 06 1.4 window misting 26 Dec 2008 (Forum)
My wife's honda jazz mists up very quickly in this damp cold weather, front screen and side windows. I have read the honda response on HJ's review page, and just wondering how bad it has to be before new winscreen seals are required. On long journeys it's a pain to have the heating /AC on hot all the time.

  • Daewoo Matiz - Cracked Windscreen 16 Aug 2010 (Forum)
When I got into my car, I noticed a large crack on the driver side of the windscreen which was certainly not there when I took my car in originally. I went and alerted the receptionist in the office who sent out a mechanic to have a look.
  • New cars - 'infotainment' screens 20 Sep 2017 (Forum)
The controls in my car are simple - hit a button, turn a knob, which you can do without taking your eyes off the road. My cheapo Garmin satnav sits at the bottom of the windscreen, in line of sight but not obscuring it or distracting.
  • How to drive safely in snow and ice 15 Dec 2017 (Forum)
Another winter driving tip: If you are using your windscreen wipers, when you come to the end of your journey remember to switch them off before you switch the ignition off. The wipers will go to their 'parked' position (front and rear wipers). When you re-start your car if its frosty or covered in snow the wipers won't be straining against being frozen to the glass or a heavy load of snow.
