  Evening - my battery has failed today and Hyundai want £399.99 for a new one. I can't get ones on eurocarparts for as little as £90! Would a non start stop battery be ok? My start stop has never worked past 26k I'm currently on 90k.

  A friend mentioned in passing that her battery warning light is on the whole time the engine is running. As this has been so for 2 or 3 months and her battery has not gone flat, the usual causes can be discounted. I'm looking at the car later this week and any suggestions would be welcome.

  Sister no. 2 has an M-reg 2 litre Ford Probe. It is proving very efficient at draining the battery of power. If she leaves the car unused for 3 or 4 days, the battery goes flat, even after a period of repeated long trips. The car has been into several garages for investigation, but the problem is still there.
