  My front wiper motor has packed up and when i looked at changing it couldn't see how u got to it looks enclosed by plastic trim which goes up to windscreen no fixings on it . Does it just pull off or will this break it ?

  Hi The windscreen pump on my wifes Ford Fiesta seems to work but no water comes out of either the front or back washes. The water bottle is full and I have pricked throught the wash jets and they appear to be clear, has anybody had this problem and if so does it require specialist help or is it easy to resolve?

  About a week after I bought it I contacted them. Inoticed during polishing it that it had been resprayed back and front. They said to their knowledge it had not been in any crash.   Now I have tried to get to get the intermittent wiper fixed on warranty but the garage says they will not fix it as the windscreen is not a hyundai windscreen.

  Any ideas on this one? As I was tootling on the motorway today a low flying pheasant flew in front of me. Any lower and my windscreen would have contacted with its uppermost tail feather or possibly worse. If I had hit it at 70 mph (or thereabouts) do you think it would have: a) flown by grazed and slightly shaken but nothing injured but its pride b) bounced over the top ending up as pheasant soup on the roadway behind me or c) smashed through my windscreen, flapping as it did so causing me to lose control at the point of no return..

  I damaged the windscreen of my car when I was in France and RAC Windscreens are unable to repair the chip and so I'll need a new screen. However, before I bought the car I recall reading in one of the reviews that Honda had fitted a thicker windscreen to the diesel models in order to reduce engine noise.

  Hi, my heated front screen stopped working. It's the single connector screen. Put a meter across the connector, and got 3 ohms, which seems reasonable Put a meter across the other half of the connector, and got zero volts.

  I saw last night an HGV lit up like Blackpool illuminations at the front.   One of the striking things was the lighting display behind the driver.   This one wasn't as striking as some I've seen, like indian chiefs with feathered headdress.   Can any of the BRs tell me whether the display reflects into the eyes of the driver or is the display not visible to the driver because of the slope of the windscreen ?

  I'm finding condensation on the inside of the front windscreen in my Golf Mk4 lately. Nothing obviously wrong, could just be autumn I guess - are they prone to faults that can cause this? Is it an early warning of anything, eg heater radiator? Had a new w/screen in July, but haven't seen any leaks or anything.

  The car wasn't customised in any other way, just a standard Rapier front on a normal Corsair body. Another oddity was a double-ended Austin A30 in Cornwall - like two front halved welded back-to-back, so if you followed it, it looked like it was reversing!

  brother just rang , his astra is making a tinny noise from somewhere along the exaust sytem ( thinks its front) more noticable when hot , is the cat on its way out or could it be a loose heat shield , its only just been MOT,d and the emmisions were all correct , 60k on a s plate ...thanks {Car details changed, as indicated by the OP - DD}

  My son recently had the front brake pads and discs replaced at a fast fit operation as the pads were on their way out. Now the new front offside pads keep binding sporadically after the car has been driven a couple of miles as shown by the wheel heating up and a burning smell.
