Suitable Car for OAP

I am 78 years old and intend to buy a new car that will still be manageable for my age in five years time. I want an automatic, with heated front seats, reliability and good comfort.

I have looked at:

The new Mazda 3; is it too frisky for my age?
The Honda Civic; to get heated seats puts it into a highly priced, but not out of range, model!
The Honda Jazz Hybrid; is the CVT transmission too noisy at steady motorway speeds?

I would value your opinion and advice, and any suggestions on other possibilities.

Three good choices. Mazda 3 my personal favourite because I appreciate the thoughtfulness of the engineering, the excellent steering and the superb six-speed automatic transmission. The Honda Civic should be economical for a 1.8 automatic because its hideous shape is very aerodynamic.

Jazz hybrid is okay on the motorway, but there is a new Jazz on the other side of the World and that will be built in the UK as well from early next year. The Toyota Yaris HSD works better as a hybrid. And, on the subject of hybrids, don't dismiss the Toyota Auris HSD.
