  • BMW 5 Series as ugly as sin! 31 Mar 2005 (Forum)
Am I the only person who thinks that BMW have well and truly cocked up their 5 series. It looks ugly with an usightly rear end, a whacky and stubby side profile with a cheap looking front end. The i Drive is confusing to say the least and my wife would have run a mile rather than try and use it...perhaps thats a good thing though...
  • BMW LL04 Now released (OIL) 11 Feb 2005 (Forum)
I have had advice from Fuchs that the new BMW LL04 is launched. The product is not available in the UK just yet but expect it on our shores very soon! Details of LL04 differences I have so far are as follows: BMW Quality Longlife-04 Approval In connection with the introduction of the new Diesel particulate filters, beginning with the series E90- and E87-engines, a new engine oil (Low Ash) is also mandatory.
  • Old shape BMW 7 series 22 Jun 2002 (Forum)
I guess that I'll be looking at a set of new cats soonish on a car of this age with 100k miles on the clock - any idea what a BMW dealer will charge for this (?£2000). I fancy going to the Great Trade centre, but should I go to a BMW dealer? Thanks. All advice appreciated. Nick.

  • What will this little lot cost? 24 Apr 2002 (Forum)
Hi, How much roughly do you think the following would cost on a 528i bmw? repair of rust to rear spoiler (small amount) Service interval 2 by BMW New rear brakes
  • "mayonnaise" 23 Feb 2002 (Forum)
I've just topped up the oil on my 1998 bmw 528i and their is a yellowy gunk apparent on the filler cap. It still has 3 service lights remaining and is always serviced by a bmw dealer at the right interval. Does this gunk imply a problem?
  • BMW 5 Series - BMW Customer Service 5 Feb 2022 (Forum)
The headlight was supposed to arrive in early December but it is now the end of January and they still dont know when they might have it. The car has now run out of Mot and so it is off the road. BMW customer service are so incredibly lazy, they have not done anything other than say "we understand your frustration" without having done anything further to address the situation. I wish I could cancel the order and buy it elsewhere but they have me over a barrel because you can only buy it from them.

  • BMW 3 Series - Choosing a new 2nd hand car 21 Sep 2012 (Forum)
However if I spend all of that I won't have any money left if it goes wrong so I want a car that will be cheap to repair if I go up to my limit. I had been looking online at BMW 320D 2005/2006 under 80,000 miles when I stumbled upon this website by chance. I started reading the good/the bad section and saw stories of owners having to spend thousands on their BMWs when they go wrong.
  • BMW Z4 (2003 - 2009) - Car back from service - with accident damage!!!! 30 Dec 2009 (Forum)
Z4 was in for its annual service at local BMW main dealer. Its an 04 plate car with only 30k miles and full BMW history. I tend not to use the car too often in winter if possible, it's not the best in the snow and I'm always scared of it getting damaged.
  • BMW 3-Series E90 (2005 - ) - 06 2.0 Clutch judders and ocassional burning smell 15 Oct 2009 (Forum)
But if its likely to be under warranty I would quite like to get it fixed for FREE. The only problem is that by the time BMW have opened up the gearbox to investigate, I would have racked up £500 anyways and then it might not be a good idea NOT to replace it. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks
  • BMW X5 E70 SUV (2007 - ) - 08 3.0 towbar issues 22 Apr 2009 (Forum)
Have just got off the floor from fainting, Requested a quote from BMW dealer for the installation of a towbar inc electrics, it was £1300.00. On top of that they have now told me that all E70 X5 models require a new larger cooling fan to be installed when towing. This fitted is another £700.00.
