  £850 Vectra at Auction Today 25 Jan 2002 (News)
  A well known honest trader had to fight like mad to secure another C Class, this one the much wanted C250TD auto with 72,000 miles on an early S plate, and had to pay £9,900 to secure it. He also had to pay £7,700 for a metallic blue 13,000 mile 2000X Peugeot 206 1.4GLX 5-door with aircon. A fair selection of faults (see car by car breakdown) hasn't stopped these pretty little cars being much wanted by younger women. But just a few lots before it a 16,000 mile 2000X Mondeo 2.0 Ghia X with leather, alloys and all the Ghia X bits and pieces only reached £7,650.

Ford enthusiasts hope to mark 20 years since of the launch of the Racing Puma. And the Peugeot Sport Club UK stand celebrating the 205 GTi's 35th birthday will be a must-see. Rover fans are celebrating, including 20 years since the official sales launch of the 75, while the Rover 800 Club is marking two decades since the last 800 was made.

  The three most endangered 1993 cars from the Top 10 Sellers list are the Mk1 Renault Clio (220 survivors), the Rover Metro (249) and the Peugeot 405 (250). Keith Moody added, ‘These are the cars that petrolheads in their 30s and 40s grew up with. That they learnt to drive in. That they went on family holidays in. These are the next-generation of classic cars – and they’re being bought by people who want to be reminded of their connection to times, people, and places who might no longer be with them.’ Ultimately, the writing is on the wall for Ford’s world car.

  Being the 1.5GL model, this example is quite an upmarket Samara and has a number of delightful features including a non-functional fuel gauge, an aftermarket induction kit and a bloody great dent in the back door, all of which give it tremendous character. It also has a Peugeot 205 XS carburettor conversion, though from the experience of once trying to source new old stock fuel system parts for a Samara 1.5, we can tell you that this is most definitely a good thing. So, all-in, a shabby but solid Samara that has a unique character all of its own.

  Questions raised over classic car safety 23 Jan 2015 (News)
  The court heard that the MGB - similar to the one pictured above - 'folded like a penknife' when hit from behind by Balasubramaniam’s Peugeot 5008, which had been tracked travelling at 48mph along the 40mph road. Prosecutor Nicholas Bleaney explained to the court how the MGB had been at a standstill at the time of the crash, due to traffic congestion, and that Mr Sennett stood little chance, 'He hit his head on the windscreen top and suffered some chest injuries but the main injury was a very serious head injury, and sadly he did not regain consciousness and was pronounced dead at the scene.'
