  Hello, I have an Audi A4 2.0 MultiTronic 2001(51). It seems to conume a lot of oil. I need to top it upto 900ml every 1500 miles. The handbook suggests that it is normal for the car to consume upto 0.5 litres every 1000km (625 miles).

  I had a good look at the Audi this morning (see earlier thread). This model (1991 Coupe 20V) has a single fuel pump submerged in the tank. Access is by unbolting the protective plate on top of the tank (under the boot carpet) and removing the fuel gauge sender unit.

  I have lost all faith in the car and simply want the contract hire firm to take the car back, and to leave it to them and Audi to sort out.
