  Asking is £8,995. Overall the car looks very honest and cared for and is being offered by a reputable S. London classic dealer. Car looks and feels as though it will go for ever and would make a good daily driver. Anyone care to offer an opinion???

  s lights are bad. I know David has commented on the dip, but I think the main beam is pretty awful as well. On the subjects of lights, then the interior lights are pretty feeble also. There?s quite a delay in them coming on (why do they have to fade up & down ?)

  Budget up to £30K Happy to buy used with mileage up to 20K Half decent fuel economy (I know I will have to kiss goodbye the the Golf 8's amazing frugality). Have a good reputation for reliability. Musn't be a massive 'tank' (Input from spouse) I have been looking at the Volvo XC40 which seems like a good fit. Any suggestions for the ideal fishing friendly wagon welcome.

  Ford Focus 1.6 estate 2. Vauxhall Astra 1.6 estate 3. Ford C Max 1.6 4. Suzuki SX4 - S-Cross 1.6 (not many nearby) All above manual transmission. Would need to be fairly local (30 miles of WV16 post code)  Alternative suggestions welcome.
• Peugot 207 - Is it OK to mix OW-30 and 5W-30 oils? 17 May 2024 (Forum)
  No indications of the correct oil to use in the car manual or on the service record!!! A check online suggests all 207's from that era use OW-30, and some can use 5W-30 as well. Safest bet is therefore to use 0W-30. But what if the existing oil is 5W-30, will mixing the two oils cause any damage? Want to try and avoid having to do a full oil change in a garage (also not too keen on driving it to the garage if the oil is very low).

  So my son's gf is off to the US for 3 months. She has a 2011 Mini Cooper S and she is wondering what to do with it. It will be parked off road. Options appear to be: - Just park up and see if starts when she returns. Advantage being it could be SORN and maybe there'd be a small insurance saving.

  This week it was MOTd by our indie and he gave an advisory for rear subframe rust (“rear subframe is corroded in places”). I am old enough to remember rust and welding being a regular occurrence in the 70’s but this is our first modern car with an issue. Anyway, discussing with the indie, he says the subframe rust is not very serious and he can treat it with Schutz for an hour and a half  labour and £30 materials.

  I have rang Ford and asked how much it would cost to replace the water pump in my Ford Focus 2010 Zetec S 1.8 Petrol. They are quoting me nearly £500 but I rang a local garage from fixmycar.com and they quoted a rough estimate of £168.00. Both prices include parts, labour and vat.   Im really baffled as to what to believe.

  Hi I have a few issues with my mk4 golf tdi 1.9 hoping I could get some help my electrics seem to be awful on this car and have no idea how to sort it Faults Electric windows don’t work except back ones from back switches front one does nothing but will do the locks Key fob doesn’t work to lock/unlock Interior lights only work when pressed manually Also cluster resets randomly when driving Airbag light on but very dim Traction control randomly comes On. sometimes will turn On and off if I press it but rarely The one light in the passenger o/s on the roof comes on with door open but that’s it no other lights inside come on except the drivers door and the passenger door but passenger side instantly dims Changed CCM fuses Changed fuse 14 multiple times and other fuses Any help appreciated

  I have driven the car as normal for a week or so and the engine management light has not come on.. then today I drove the car and the battery light has now come on does anyone know if this means that maybe there is likely to be an alternator problem?? Or would a VW Beetle"s battery light just come on for a simple battery change? As I have had this car for 10 years and cant remember this happening before I have changed the battery 3-4 times over the years and can't remember seeing that light before .. normally I would just have problems starting it.
