Time to renew breakdown cover 1 Apr 2014 (Forum)
Currently with the AA but notice a lot of cheaper seemingly good providers such as 'start rescue', 'QDOS', 'Driverguardian' The only reason i'm thinking of sticking to the AA is because of their 'breakdown repair cover' My car broke doen 2 months ago and an ignition coil was replaced free as I was on that policy. Nobody else seems to offer that sort of thing. For those interested in the breakdown repair cover, the things covered and excuded are here: http://www.theaa.com/breakdown-cover/breakdown-repair-cover.jsp#tabview%3Dtab2 Should I stick to the AA or cn anyone recommend me a cheaper alternative just as good? -
Insurance cover while changing car 3 Feb 2010 (Forum)
Both cars are pretty cheap so I'm not too worried about the level of cover but do wish to stay the right side of the law. Supposing I transfer my currrent policy which expires 23 March to the new car , will my current company offer short term cover for the old one , or do I need to try a specialist ? -
Volkswagen Bora (1999 - 2006) - Warranty for Car With Mileage in excess of 100,000 5 Mar 2008 (Forum)
Are looking at purchasing a 2nd car and are considering purchasing a warranty. The car will have just under 120,000 miles at time of purchase which will be a private purchase, and I will be doing 10,000 miles per year. Have found click for warranty will cover cars up to 150,000 miles see http://tinyurl.com/244lny or warranty wise who will take cars on with up to 120,000, their cost being £232 for 12 months cover includes main dealer rate of £95.00, but the cover appears to be very basic see http://tinyurl.com/2sjkb7 Does anyone know of any other warranty companies that are prepared to cover vehicles that have in excess of 100,000 miles Thanks -

Yaris Aircon - regassing warranty cover 13 Jul 2006 (Forum)
Recently bought a Toyota Yaris for wife, car will be 3 years old in October. The aircon seems to take 3 or 4 minutes before delivering cool air and is not as cold as in my car, so I suspect it needs a re-gas. Would this be covered as a warranty fix or is it 'wear and tear' like brake pads? -
Driving other cars 6 Sep 2006 (Forum)
Am I allowed to drive it? I seem to get the impression from 'others' that as the OWNER does not currently have insurance cover on the car, it cannot be driven on the public roads. If this is the case, how is it different for me to drive the car with third party cover as opposed to the registered driver driving it with the like cover! -
Insurance for 2nd car while selling? 1 Oct 2005 (Forum)
Presumably this would only cover third parties and wouldn't cover any damage to my car should they have a bump? Second question: considering it was previously costing me £180 for the year to cover the Polo, fully comp, to be driven regularly, I was surprised to be quoted £26 for four weeks insurance as an additional car, third party fire and theft only, when the likelihood is it will do 100 miles if that during the period. -
Test Drive Insurance 30 Nov 2002 (Forum)
I'm thinking of buying a car privately and want to be adequately insured for a test drive. I'm 23 so my own policy doesn't include cover for other cars. My insurer (Elephant) cannot add a temporary car until I have been with them for 3 months. -
Trade policy - vehicles driven by someone else 1 Sep 2008 (Forum)
My girlfriend is not on my trade policy but she's on her own comprehensive policy on her car. She is covered to drive any other cars as long as the car does not belong to her and insured. Is she going to be covered to drive one of my stock cars with my consent? I assume all of my cars are covered by my insurance because this is a trade policy? -

Toyota Yaris - Use a car cover, or not? 10 Apr 2022 (Forum)
But no other problems. With the new Toyota I have just purchased the dealer gave me a Toyota-branded fitted car cover. Its silver on the outside and has a soft lining on the inside. I am wondering whether I should use it or not. I have read that car covers can damage the paint. Any experience of this? -
Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 2001 1.6 rusty rocker cover 16 Aug 2008 (Forum)
Hi. I have a 306 (1.6), and the rocker cover appears to have surface rust all over it. Is this a fairly rommon issue? Is it safe to keep running the car with it? Or, would it be advisable to get the rocker cover replaced as soon as possible? -
