  Presumably, if the keys don't turn up, he's going to have to contact Volvo, or his local dealer, for replacements. Is it likely that the key codes will be printed on any of the documentation that came with the car? The Volvo web site mentions a procedure for obtaining key codes (http://tinyurl.com/al2np ).

  My friend purchased a used Volvo on an approved used scheme "Volvo Select".  Within 30 days an oil level warning light came on stating that the oil level is to high and requires adjustments.  This has happened on 4 occasions and each time Volvo has recommended an oil change.

  I have found an 08 plate S40 2.0D SE with 49k on the clock, 1 owner and full Volvo Service History.  Car looks clean and looked after so just wanted to ask opinions about their reliability, servicing costs and general performance.  I have never had a Volvo before so really am going into this blind.

  So Volvo are going to build an electric MPV, guessing it will try to rival the likes of the Alphard, Elgrand, Starex and the Buick GL8.   I can't help noticing how many Volvo ads there seem to be featuring the new(ish) C30 on TV (particualrly satellite/Cable) yet I have only ever seen 2 on the road ! Does this mean it is not selling and why would that be ??? Edit: Edited the title to say Volvo instead of Citroen, Rob

  Hi all, I acquired a 2004 Volvo V40 a week ago. The previous owner had, in good faith, paid Volvo to look at (and supposedly repair) a ticking indicator switch before selling me the car. The Volvo dealership charged him £130 for a new relay switch - he paid this and I have the receipt.

  Folks, appreciate thoughts on this one. Got a 2.0D Volvo S40 saloon on a 59 plate. For the last few months a few times a week I will go to start the car and find the engine turns over no problem at all it appears to try and fire but dies immediatly, it may take up to a dozen turns of the key before the engine will actually fire.

  I bought a can OBD 11 meter reader on E-bay for Volvo and it has the same16 pin but the dealers must have put a plastic security piece in as now I can't get the pin in to get a correct communication any one now how to help here.What can I do ? As quickfit took a reading last week but when it came back from the dealers they said only their readers work on it.Help required please any suggestions?

  My wifes volvo 480 failed its mot due to a faulty steerung rack. I had it done by a local chap but he had to remove the steering wheel to align it. Low and behold the SRS light comes on and he says he cannot fix that as only Volvo have the gizmo to do the job..

  I have to choose between either a Golf 100bhp TDi, a Seat Leon 110SE TDI, and a Volvo V40 1.9TD for a comnpany car. After driving them I am erring on the Volvo, but have heard unpleasant noises regarding the long term reliability of Mitsubishi parts. The practicality of the Volvo is the main swaying factor, the Seat is the fun one, but long journeys might be tiring.

   Volvo once a leader in car safety are bringing out a new SUV with 3 different Models in early 2024.  The top model is said to be capable of 0-62mph in some 3.6 seconds.  Makes a bit of a mockery of current thinking re road speeds.
