Lexus service book discprepancy? 5 Jun 2007 (Forum)
purchased a 04 reg IS200 for 10k from a Lexus dealer 2 weeks ago. Despite being assured it was full Lexus service history on the day of collection no service history was forthcoming. After a great deal of perseverance and several weeks was presented with a 'sham' of a service book that had been filled in 20 minutes earlier....and they wouldn't even admit to it being a duplicate despite the Lexus 2007 stamp on the 2004 service slot!! -

Lexus 2013 CT 1.8 Hybrid - Engine oil flush 21 Oct 2017 (Forum)
Hello Which is the best engine oil for this lexus CT 1.8 Hybrid: 0w20 or 5W30 fully synthetic. I ask as different oil checkers state different grades. I am told it can use both but 0w20 is what the dealers use. Any thoughts Thank you -
parking sensors 22 Jun 2003 (Forum)
G'Day appreciate advice, pse: want to fit parking sensor(s) to rear of Lexus 200 SE - Lexus dealer quotes £371 to supply/fit "general" (not Lexus) kit, which involves removing bumper to instal rather than drilling. Can I purchase and fit same without too much technical knowhow - if so, from where, pse? -

Lexus RX 450h - Official mpg figures 23 Feb 2013 (Forum)
I have been extremely disappointed with the fuel consumption of this car, and complaining to Lexus, ever since I bought it in 2009. I had moved on from a RX400h which had an official EU figure of 34.1 mpg and in practice actually easily achieved slightly over 30 mpg. Lexus are claiming 44.8 mpg for the RX450h and I foolishly had expected to achieve a figure of at least 39 mpg. -
Lexus losing the plot on customer servic 20 Apr 2006 (Forum)
As my diary is filling up for this month, I asked for a delivery date. The leasing firm chased the dealer (and Lexus UK) and apprently Lexus previously provided "misleading information" about progress of vehicles at the factory. Latest date provided is a 25th May delivery to the dealer (not my house). Given the need to prepare the car and add some dealer fit extras, I won't be getting it until June although there was a vague mention of a courtesy car. -
Lexus IS300 Sportcross - Aftermarket Replacement Parking Sensors 28 Mar 2015 (Forum)
Hi All, My Lexus IS300 Sportcross has rear parking sensors which have failed. Lexus want to charge me £99 just to investigate the problem and replacement parts have a reputation for being expensive, so i'm thinking it might be more cost effective to get have the sensors (and also have fitted additional front sensors) replaced with aftermarket items. -
Insurance - Sort of Lexus related 25 Oct 2005 (Forum)
Right-I've started a thread because I feel the topic deserves it. I've run a few quotes through for this Lexus for me and not one insurer has been able to provide an online quote. I'm going to ring a few tomorrow and see but is this because they won't quote me at all or because it's going to be pricey? I can put a 2.0 T S60 in and it quotes me £1200 but the 2.4T along with the Lexus asks me to ring. -
Lexus IS - Whats an Affordable luxury car? 22 Jan 2014 (Forum)
Budget under £6500 and £330 per month looking for something comfortable with really good interior. BMW 3 series I think i s too expensive, been thinking about the Lexus IS250 but it has very mixed reviews,....any ideas on these cars or other appropriate cars? -
Lexus lights 16 Feb 2005 (Forum)
These accessories have been hijacked by the boy racer fraternity much to IMO to the detrimental effect on the image and maybe residuals of cars there fitted to as standard, ie Lexus, Mazda etc. The sight of a tired Ford Escort with rear lenses that look ridiculas and are probably worth more than the car make me cringe. I want to ask the driver, Why? Why? (fit them) Each to there own I suppose. -
Lexus IX200 secondhand 8 Dec 2002 (Forum)
I will need soon to replace my Rover 827 Sterling which has been excellent but need something a bit smaller. Have seen a couple of W reg Lexus IX200s with about 100k come up at auction from PHL leasing so presumably well looked after . Would one of these be a good long term buy and what might a reasonable price at auction be? With thanks John -

c10 year old Lexus Hybrids 25 Jul 2021 (Forum)
Hi all, I'm following up on my earlier thread " Recommendation - comfortable, large car. c£12000 ". Mybudget/criteria has suggested several Lexus Petrol-Hybrid cars from around 2010-2013/40-60k miles. My prejudice would have been to prefer diesels of that age as I have my doubts about early hybrid technology. Can anyone give an opinion on these? -

Lexus GS 300, 430, 460 (2005 - ) - 07, weak parking brake. 22 Oct 2007 (Forum)
Hi, my 2007 model Lexus GS 300 has a foot operated handbrake, the handbrake fails to hold the car on moderately steep hills, when operating the handbrake it needs to completely pushed to its limit to hold the car. Is it a case of a simple adjustment required or is ot just a lousy design. -
firm ride and tyres Lexus Is250 4 Mar 2006 (Forum)
Hi I have a new lexus IS250 with bridgestone tyres. The pressures are correct. On all but the smoothest roads the ride is very firm ( uncomfortable) and every little road blemish is noticeable. Would changing tyres to another brand make any difference ?
