  • Renault kangoo 1.5dci judder 7 Oct 2005 (Forum)
I have a 53reg Kangoo 1.5 dci fco7 engine 30k miles when pulling away from standstill on a steep incline it sends a vibration / judder through the vehicle whether in 1st gear or reverse. The problem seems worse when engine warm. vehicle drives well otherwise. Have taken it to renault dealer and no faults could be found on computer, and they were unable to replicate fault as there was not a steep enough incline in the area. Any thoughts would be appriciated.
  • Seat Ibiza 1.9 TDi 130 4 Oct 2005 (Forum)
Looks absolutely spotless and he's pretty interested in it. Before he makes the plunge, what are these cars like in general? He's been for test drives but was hoping for some other opinions on it. Any thoughts/opinions/advice would be much appreciated.
  • Tyres for Honda Accord? 13 Sep 2005 (Forum)
It came fitted with Bridgestone Potenzas, which are what I've fitted as replacements so far. But they don't seem to last particularly well, despite a lack of aggressive driving. I was vaguely wondering about a switch to Goodyear but would appreciate the views of others. Incidetntally, in case this has been asked before, I did try searching, but couldn't find anything.
  • Mondeo TDCi - stupid question 13 Sep 2005 (Forum)
Something I should probably already know the answer too but.... I seem to remember being told when I started driving that you should never let a diesel run out of fuel - and that it would need a mechanic to bleed it (air?) to restart. Was this true and is this still the case on modern cars such as the Mondy. I might be running the tank a bit lower than usual if the panic buying goes on all week - but don't fancy an AA call.
  • Clutch foot rest Mazda 2 10 Sep 2005 (Forum)
Just been to test drive the Mazda 2 with a view to replacing my wifes ageing Clio. Really impressed with handling, spaciousness and the styling. However,I was concerned that there was no rest for the clutch pedal foot.

  • CoPilot +T-Mobile SDA Smartphone 25 Jul 2005 (Forum)
Took out a new contract on Friday with T-Mob and got a FREE Smart Phone with CoPilot satnav. Have to say that I am rather impressed. It works well, easy to use, can drive or walk with it. Phone Links to a Blue Tooth GPS receiver which is quite small and discreet, charges from the cigar lighter and lasts up to 6 hrs per charge. If anyone interested in buying a satnav, bite the bullet and have a peek at this.

  • Petrol Smell - Alfa 156 29 Jun 2005 (Forum)
I have a strong smell of petrrol from my Alfa 156. You notice it when you are driving with the windows down and when you get out and go to the boot it is quite strong. I had to have a new petrol neck filler about two years ago, but I have never had a car previously or heard of anyone replacing one before.
  • VW Passat Brake wear 17 Jun 2005 (Forum)
The rear pads are 90% (1000ish miles to go) worn and the front are 60% worn (10,000ish miles to go). I know alot depends on driving style, however is usual for the rear to wear much more than the front. Any ideas???
  • Citroen C3 5 Jun 2005 (Forum)
Collected a C3 1.6 from \"Record Rent a Car\" (£83 a week \"no excess\") and drove about 600Km in total. Liked the car but as a left hand drive I found the front door pillar a real problem on left hand bends up in the mountains. Impared vision I thought !! and kept leaning forward and looking round the post. Do UK RHD Drivers feel this is a problem on right corners ??.
  • Citroen C5 Abroad 22 May 2005 (Forum)
However it is equiped with factory fitted Xenon headlights and Citroen have no way of modifying them for use on holiday in Right Hand Drive Countries i.e. France! They tell me that you should not use stck on converters or even stone guards due to the exra heat produced. Has anyone got any ideas how I can stay legal abroad? Dave S.
  • SWMBO wants a mini 18 May 2005 (Forum)
SWMBO has finally decided to give up her aversion of driving - (it's only lasted since 1993) and let me buy her a mini - not the bmw type btw. I've had a look on e-bay and the usual sites - question is will £2k get me a half decent runner and what in particular (like what's a rusty sub frame please) should I be looking out for?
  • C5 estate - rear screen 16 May 2005 (Forum)
Hi, Wonder if anyone's got any thoughts on this: Everytime I unlock my C5 estate the rear screen pops open. After I close it, I then can't re-open it. Similarly, when driving, if I come to a stop and open the driver/passenger door the rear screen pops open. Becoming a tad annoying! Saw the post re. C5 doors - as an aside, I have had the same issue with both rear doors.
  • Volvo S60 handbrake 15 May 2005 (Forum)
The saleman seemed to think that it wasn't an issue. By the way the footbrake worked fine whilst driving. Can any S60 owners relate to this? PP
  • Vx Omega Power loss 14 May 2005 (Forum)
When i accelerate hard the engine cuts out (down) and will not run clean unless i back off. Its ok normal driving up to 3/4 acceleration. The display reads "automatic gearbox". Ive done a blink test and number 19 comes up (incorrect RPM signal) but i think thats just a basic fault finding result. Can anyone help.
  • Proton Gen 2 10 May 2005 (Forum)
Had an eyeball at the website to see the interior - and it wasn't bad looking either - OK 2 dimensional images can sometimes be a bit deceptive. Anyone taken a drive in one of these yet? Not interested from a buying perspective, just curious on first hand views of others. I really like the shape of them from the back. Leon
  • Scenic fails to start 23 Apr 2005 (Forum)
Recently it has started to play up by not starting, sometimes it starts no problem at all then other times even after it has been driven for minutes or hours it then refuses to start, only to then start after 15-20 minutes of waiting around. It is driving her to despair, Renault seem to have no idea what is going on. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know a Fixit for this problem? munchyseed
