    The Beaver Bullet, which was built to combat the negative press reaction to an oil-burning Rangey, was the first diesel-powered car to maintain an average speed of 100mph for 24 hours. It broke all diesel speed records for a 4x4, and over three days in August in 1986 at the MIRA test track, two diesel Range Rovers took a total of 27 sprint and endurance records.

In 2017, Vauxhall sold 195,000 cars in the UK. The Managing Director of Vauxhall Motors, Stephen Norman, explained that he didn't expect any redundancies among the dealership workforce of 12,000 as the showrooms affected would take on the PSA brand.

According to the Department for Transport (DfT), young drivers are up to seven times more likely to be killed or seriously injured on the road, compared to those aged 25 or over, with the majority of accidents taking place in rural areas.
